This project is the result of a year of study in the AA design & make programme. Our group focused on the study of the space frame canopy node joint and the overall structure, digital fabrication, the structural design of the buffer space and the study of the space glulam. We hope that the field station will bring the students› working space from the workshop back to the surrounding nature, providing a venue for lectures or sketching workshops, as well as a performance venue for nature and a resting place for visitors passing by; our personal focus is more on digital design, robotic fabrication and space frame design. My focus is more on digital design, robotic fabrication and the design of the space frame. The nodes of the space frame have undergone 4 versions and the whole structure has undergone 5 designs and adjustments before reaching the current final version.

The site is situated at the junction of the main road through the forest, giving people a very good view of it from all sides, and there is a recently planted compartment on the opposite side of the site where the field station will be watching the growth of the forest for the next 10, 20 and 50 years.
