In the power plant, the original equipment has been retained, and the existing wasteland has been re-planted into a special strong resistance botanical garden.
In terms of the large area, it is divided into seven areas, each of which has its corresponding function and design. Based on the original legacy equipment, it is designed into 8 nodes, big and small. After subdivision, there are 18 different small areas.
By tracing the culture of the site, it integrates entertainment, interaction and commemoration, so that later visitors can truly experience the difficult and dangerous environment in which workers were living in the 19th century.
In addition, the entertainment of the site and the surrounding community echo with it, driving the development of the site.

Over time, the plants in the six zones increased steadily, but due to the different resistance of each zone, the time was fast and slow, starting with bare grass and ending with woodland, with very high plant coverage

With the recovery of plants, the number of mammals and insects gradually increased, such as squirrels, rabbits, bees and butterflies. In addition, predators were also integrated into the site, such as eagles, raccoons and so on, and the biological structure was abundant
Historical memorial corridor: an axis runs through the plane and is located in the middle of the site. Through it, you can see the historical events recorded on the monument and military war equipment provided by the factory; At that time, factories contributed to the city's GDP; The honors of the workers were engraved on the monument.

The original site was four abandoned circles and two clean pools. By adding the fun of entertainment and interaction, the four abandoned land areas were transformed into play areas with climbing, resting, jumping, performing and chatting, gathering and sightseeing.
In addition, there are roads on the two water purification pools and ecological diversity is added to the pools, making the quiet stagnant water come alive again. People can swim in the water, fish, and sit on the road to rest.
This design allows the abandoned land to be reborn and endowed with new vitality.

sustainable design & the story of the ecology around the bridge
09/2021 - 10/2021
Site: NYC Individual Work
The whole project is designed around the surrounding area and under the viaduct, rationally utilizing the site space, serving the surrounding community and putting people first. By integrating the concepts of ecology, sports, entertainment, leisure, culture and so on, people can have enough green space, high green space accessibility, complete service facilities, and more convenient access to the surrounding important sites. Connecting the landscape facilities around the bridge with the ecological site, revitalizing an otherwise fragmented and chaotic place and highlighting the importance of landscape in the city.
The upper part of the hollow space is not fully utilized.
There was a lot of traffic, it was dangerous for people to enter the intermediate area, and the field was noisy.
In the design scope, the amount of green space per capita is very small, and the green area of the site is less than the surrounding community, and is concentrated in remote areas. Many communities lack green space and services. In densely populated communities, the quality of green space is poor, there is no sports field and large or small parks, green space accessibility is poor. For children, the lack of a large number of friendly natural facilities to play on the ground.
There are few commercial activities in the neighborhood, but there are too many people, resulting in a low per capita activity, facilities and consumption rate, which is not in line with the expectation of the surrounding population density and facilities ratio. Compared with the whole New York, it is very few.
EMPTY POCKET PARKS :
Plenty of pocket parks are left unused, overgrown and underused. Many parts of the area hidden by the bridge are devoid of people and green Spaces.
THE WASTELAND OF UNDERPASS :
The population is very dense, but there are a lot of abandoned sites and abandoned facilities, and they do not make full use of the site facilities, so as to bring suitable leisure parks and high green space accessibility to the people. Moreover, the community is close to the traffic and the crowd is very dense, which makes the urban landscape particularly important.
There are many manufacturing industries, so people have a high frequency of round-trip and a high workload. However, abandoned land blocks the convenient traffic road, and the surrounding landscape is not good, which greatly affects the manufacturing industry and the accessibility of the people's site.

As an indispensable part of urban green space activities, the playground connects the surrounding environment, promotes the activity of surrounding communities, and enhances people's accessibility to the green space under the viaduct.
The abandoned and stacked site is reinvigorated. Green space, activities, performances and rest are integrated into each other, and run through the site to become a holiday time-out point for surrounding residents and an important part of urban green space.

The recreation park consists of several circles around it. It is located on the side of the city viaduct. The community is also very close to it, the traffic is large, large flow of people.
In this space, people can relax and hold small parties in which children can play hide-and-seek, run and play in the sand, with a large lawn in the middle for a dozen people to rest or picnic.
The whole park is made up of a sunflower sea. The site is educational and is used to exchange urban landscape, development and ecological issues. In the middle of the sunflower Sea, the wooden field is a gathering place, where you can camp and sing songs.
The Sunflower Sea is also a space for exploration, bringing infinite fantasy to children.

Types of play in the twentieth century
Site: Qingdao, Shangdong Individual Work
My design project East Boston Waterfront renewal Program matured the way that I approach to urbanism. East Boston was once an important shipping and shipbuilding center in the Boston area since the 19th century, but it began to be irreversibly abandoned after World War II. In addition, the relocation of civic activities and the excessive concentration of green space inland caused the East Boston community to lose its unique identity, and also ignored the demand of civic space for coastal residents.
By combing the abandoned urban brownfield along the coast of East Boston, I transformed it into scattered pocket parks, and by connecting these pocket parks, I rebuilt a costal green belt for the coastal community. I took the unique topography and structures of the pier, as well as residents’ water and ice life such as kayaking, fishing, skating, and swimming, into account, to re-provide outdoor activity venues for the coastal community. Subsequently, excavating the cultural and historical background of the site, and then carrying out urban planning and design on the basis of people-oriented, became the focus of my study and daily accumulation.
Current situation of site attendance
The number of teenagers who come to the venue every time after school accounts for 36%. The number of children coming to the venue during free weekend is 45%

We have taken indigenous nature and farming traditions as the starting point, exploring the original texture of the earth and traditional agricultural features of the Sichuan countryside, combining high-tech parametric design with traditional timber frame construction techniques to create an 8m long and 4m high timber frame Pavilion, experiencing the most authentic countryside together.
The design not only defines a clear spatial axis for the open farmland, but also creates a spatial installation with a linear material dislocation, which is different from the distant view. From a distance it is a kinetic sculpture that looks different from different angles, while from a closer view the installation introduces environmental parameters such as light and change of scenery, through a series of materials that framing the external space allows people to experience a different landscape when using the gallery.
