portfolio marks my time and memories as a bachelor of architecture. My concern through the designs is about how to research the logic of design and how to anchor a building in certain context, in order to pursue strong logic in relationship between the buildings and the environments. As for me, architecture embodies criticalthinkingaboutdesignandform, butitalso incorporates a sophisticated consideration of the arts in order to have a clear manifesto. Through my five years study, I have strong feeling that every design is not apureartwork; itismorelike an open research intertwined with research that architects are conducting research as their design process leads them to better understand the site and other peculiarities of the project.

is an encouraging approach to contemplate architecture on a more social and practical basis instead excessively underlining its creativity and aesthetics.

Artificial Forest

Ecological Workshop Design

Jinan,Shandong,China

A.A.2015-2016

Prof. Zhang Qin

In recent years, as community gradually replace rural urban planning, more and more ecological plantations have gradually entered the urban community. Let more people understand the process of planting and processing strawberries, and also experience the natural atmosphere. The phenomenon that the existing rural people in China's existing rural population moved into the urban living environment and caused psychological problems. So I tried to introduce the concept of 'artificial forest' into the urban block, making these groups of people has their own sense of belonging. The farmers can live in the green vegetation and can climb the interactive space, which is the scenes in their meories.

''
'' 01.

The building space of the urban block is too singular to meet the various ecological needs of the plantation. The compatibility between function and space is low, and the waste of space utilization efficiency is easy to occur. There is also a gap between people who have just moved into the city from farm life.

Designing an ecological natural space integrating production, life and ecology to solve the above problems. In the process of building construction, we infiltrate the activities and scenes that people like in nature into every functional block, and finally combine into an interesting ecological space.

The building function is classified into three different circulatory systems. After studying our natural life and agricultural production process, we extract the factors corresponding to them, design corresponding spaces according to these factors, and ensure that each space meets them. The function needs to be able to restore the atmosphere of natural life.

The water cycle design in the ecological garden is to fully recycle and utilize the water resources in the building, and at the same time solve the drainage problem of the building. Planting ecological plants in areas where natural precipitation may cause water accumulation, and constructing reservoirs underground in the building, storing secondary production in the building, storing domestic water in the reservoir for filtration, disinfection, etc. Plants are watered at regular intervals.

Parking Lot Renovation & Sports Center Design

Auckland,New Zealand Spring 2015

Prof. Zhang Qin

Prof.Tong Hui

The urban space in the center of Auckland has been updated through the reconstruction of the parking lot in the region. The new square links the top floor of the parking lot to the north of Albert park. The square will become the central node connecting the surrounding business circle, park, and university city, improving the quality of the whole area, and also becoming the center of urban sports and entertainment in the future. The reservation of parking function greatly protects the parking density and traffic pressure of the city. The building epidermis was updated and ecological elements were added to make the whole site more dynamic. The new outdoor steps allow easy access to each floor of the parking lot as well as the square on the roof. Inside the parking lot, you can also enter the sports field directly.

SITE

The original parking lot has an opposite relationship with the Albert park, and the middle road blocks the connection between the city center building and the green space.

RISING

The new site rises from the platform to create a height difference that limits the scope of the site.

SIGHT & STREAMLINE

According to the line of sight analysis of the platform and the site, the interior of the site is divided into regions, and they are contacted through simple streamlines.

A bridge is set up between the parking lot's top platform and the park, allowing the two spaces to merge to create a new venue.

CONNECTION DEFINITION

The function of each unit is defined by the form of the platform plane, making them interconnected and unique.

UPDATE & INTEGRATION

Add new functions and components and integrate them according to the shape and order of the divided areas.

Nanning city has gone through rapid econmy growth especally the area near the Nanhu park, because of its stronge connection with nature and extreme convenient transportation next to Yong River bridege and city loop lines. Besides, many municipal offices locate near the Nanhu park and many financial foreign companies enter accompanied with big banks, there are some wellreputation school, unversity as well as starred hotel surrounding the area. So the area will develop into a center of politics, economy, culture and serves as the point which stumilates brand new economy growth. But existing buildings and facilities are too dispersive lacking direct connection, and also outdated, so the site urgely need a comprehensive and landmark architecture to fullfill these tasks. In addtion, the site plays a role like a bridge, in-land waterlake and Yong River intersects in these area, different people-teenagers, office workers, migrant workers, university students, family memebers, artists scatter around, and meet each other in front of the entrance of Nanhu park, diversity activietis happens there every day Also, as for the part of the only compelete interface between nature and bulidings, the site has a great landscape and view areas resourses that narrows the distance between people and nature.

As for a important linking space between interior and green platform, there is no definete line between the inside and outside, the relationship is obscure. The functions inside are diversity, by changing the inside wall space can play as an exhibtion, coffee, pub even office. Active and quiet people coexist harmoniously

To attract the different people and strengthen the relationship between the building and surroundings, introducing the underground plazas and nature elements to creat more commercial and public spaces. In the meantime enrich the site's landscape and acticities beside the high-rise. The part on the ground serves as a bridge, linking the different funcions, creating more oppotunities that people meet with each other.

NATURAL LANDSCAPE

The locals live in basins or plains at the foot of the mountain, and the local natural environment is dominated by mountains.

History Museum Designing

Pamirs,Xinjiang,China

The site is located in the valley city on the Pamirs in the westernmost part of China. A small number of local ethnic groups have attracted many tourists with their unique natural scenery and architectural forms. The museum is designed to showcase local history and culture and provide cultural activities for local residents. The entire concept of design maintains great respect for the local natural landscape and architectural culture. We intercepted the local mountain form as the concept of the building facade. Study the space of the historic buildings left over from the area and present them in a new form in the field.

HISTORIC BUILDINGS

The architectural form preserved by the early nomads, in order to withstand the harsh natural environment, the building is closed on all sides.

INTERNAL SPACE FORM

The early houses had small windows on the roof to meet the lighting needs, but the indoor light was still very poor. This form of space is a memory of the local people's past life.

ANCIENT CITY RUINS

It was an important node of the Silk Road more than two thousand years ago, and now it has left a dilapidated stone wall to represent the local historical civilization.

This region is located at the intersection of urban industrial zone and cultural zone in Brisbane, facing the problem of urban industrial buildings left behind, a lot of negative space brought by the original traffic mode, a lot of land occupied by additional functions, regional fragmentation, and the dissecting site of elevated rail.

We will 1989 Wayne Atton and Donn Logan's Urban Catalysts concept as the center of the region space design ideas, based on the regional landmarks and slow traffic, small landscape design as well as along the Brisbane river, the plant and the Banks of the river to complete by the region behind the transformation of industrial area emerging cultural industries to the city center.

It is Brisbane's first inner-city traffic bridge in 40 years and carries around 12,000 vehicles per day. First horse-drawn, then electric trams operated in Brisbane. The banning of backyard incinerators in 1987, together with the closure of local coal fired power stations in 1986. This legislation, in addition to the construction of efficient public transport in the form of steam trains and electric trams, encouraged urban sprawl The Go Between Bridge is toll bridge for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists over the Brisbane River in innercity Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. is Brisbane's first inner-city traffic bridge in 40 years and carries around 12,000 vehicles per day. This area is rising as the Brisbane City Cultural Center, and the surrounding public buildings attract more and more visitors and investors. This cultur area hosts events such as the Brisbane International Boat Show, Home Show, Brides Wedding & Honeymoon Expo, World Travel Expo, graduation ceremonies for Griffith University and Southbank Institute of Technology, art shows, charity events. INTEGRATION AND DEFINITION

This part of the design is to transform hope street into a mixed road with slow traffic. Meanwhile, the fragmentary Spaces along the street are integrated and redefined. A spacious pedestrian street

pass through hope street and connect different functions of outdoor venues and public facilities.

PEDESTRIAN FUNCTIONAL DIVISION

Hope stre will be redefined as a city slow-moving road with a pedestrian street connecting adjacent blocks. Divide the behavior of the walking crowd and add new functional facilities to satisfy the experience of walking and staying.

This part of the design extends hope street to the river bank and rebuilds the milk factory along the river. The exposed industrial building framework shows the industrial culture here, and new functions will exist in the updated architecture. The original industrial income of the factory will be replaced by cultural income.

Hydrophilic space will be a key element in the landscape design along the riparian line of the Brisbane river. After pruning the riverbank line, the landscape streamline will be closely combined with the water surface, and the activity platform will extend from the square to the river surface, translating from hard to softscapes, bring better activity experience.

The New Activity Dimension Design

Several years after the urban design was completed, the Urban Development Board plans to establish a new landmark in the Kurilpa district to meet the growing cultural needs of its inhabitants, which will form the core of cultural activities throughout the district and will also become Brisbane's New city symbol . In the design, designers hope that the new building will serve as a vertical extension of the original pedestrian area, providing a new spatial dimension for residents' cultural activities. At the same time, the building should be distinguished from the original buildings in the city because, as a landmark, it should be unique and attractive.

Part 2 .

"Catalysts are facilities --usually buildings - that generate urban development in their immediate surroundings, hereby meriting community support, possibly in the form of public subsidies. A Catalyst is an urban element that is shaped by the city and then, in turn, shapes its context."
