High-density micro-housing in complex urban environment
Project year: 2019.09~2019.10 Location: Xi’an , China Catagory:Micro housing Academic adviser: Team member:Zhong Yue(Team leader) ,Wang Xirui
Make it last, give it space... Every city, even in the most complex urban environment, has the most welcoming spaces , and there always be. ——Italo Calvinon With the increase of population density, the topic of three-dimensional high-density city has been discussed and practiced all the time.,especially in such a rapidly developing country like China . Is high-density the final destiny of urbanization?Does living in skyscrapers lose the constancy of life? So how to bring high-density housing back to traditional everyday life is what we probe into in this project . We abstract the daily life of the block to an ordinary road back home . In past years , this road is extremely lively, full of street shops , markets and vendors , meeting dwellers’ material and communicating demand . And many of the vendors themselves are the residents of the neighborhood . The most interesting thing is that these spontaneous commercial is most intractable problems in the city ., because they are conflict of the policy-expected norm and order. We find it thought-provoking to look into the problem and pay more attention to the city of bottom-up (rather than the top-down) process , hoping to leave the partial and progressive city more space and possibilities , and try to practice”Everyday Urbanism”in the project .

Paradoxical Area
Xi’an has expanded in recent years, which result in less land for peasants who become low-incomer in the city. And more and more migrant workers from Northwest poor area flocked into Xi’an for better life. Therefore, the informal space of "urban villages" has increased rapidly and became a serious social problem in the city.In addition Xi’an is also a historical with valuable traditional lifestyle that worth inheriting and imparting.
From Flat to Sterepscopic
But also full of rubbish
Life in the area is dark and damp .The street market there is the only lively spaces there.
Ground level is so c r o w d e d that no one can breathe .Market is full of chaos, noises, and also full of rubbish.
So they float in the sky to find more living spaces and market rebirth . 2

Nature Museum
Public buiding in cold region integrated into natural environment
Project year: 2018.03~2018.05 Location:Yabuli,China Catagory:Public Building Academic adviser: Luo Peng (HIT) Individual Piece:Zhong Yue
The museum experience is not just about art, but about connecting with these extraordinary physical beings of urban communities. ——Alvar Aalto
The design of this museum is a top-down process . From the surrounding environment to the building form and function, we hope to find a balance between the natural environment and human activities, so that the museum ,which is in the center of Yabuli town can not only integrate into the natural environment , but also attract tourists and residents on the other side of the lake , and become an important part of the public environment . The design is based on the ring shape and lakeside slope and create three interwoven streamline lines: leading to the lakeside, overlooking the town and entering the museum. As for the struture design of the museum, the double-layer cantilever structure is used to hang the floor slab, so that the whole building floats lightly on the slope, and large ground-level window on its lake-facing elevation is designed based on the structural characteristics of the cantilever beam , creating a open view..
6
Site Analysis The Nature Museum is located in Yabuli a tourists attraction famous for winter sports .The site is located at the intersection of the y-shaped valley, adjacent to the Lingzhi lake , in the center of the resort, with good landscape views and accessibility, steep terrain and high vegetation coverage . Because of the spetacular natural scenery around ,the museum is designed to display not only local handcraft and cultural product but also the place itself . Everyone who visits the museum will be able appreciate the natural scenery around when they see the exhibition .

Secret Garden
The Revonation of Residual Space in old Jerez town
Project year: 2019.03~2019.04 Location: Jerez, Spain Catagory:Reformation Academic adviser: Lian Fei(HIT),BAUM LAB Team member:Zhong Yue , Zhao Lijin
History is always followed and created in the reality of constantly fighting with the present for the future. History is not a nostalgic memory —— Carlo Scarpa One day, a wisp of wine and a blue robin leaded us to find a key and the secret garden. It is different from the city outsides , where is full of noise, exhaust and boredom. The garden is full of orange flowers and broom. There is a thread of happiness, which can pull out all happiness.. We marvel that this is a rare ingenious work of nature in the city and any human intervention will break its beauty. So we keep all traces of natural creation and turn human intervention into an exploration. We leave clues in the garden (paths in hidden trees, translucent glass arch walls, tall towers, plant fences, peeping holes...), waiting for each explorer to come. Here we can temporarily escape from the outside world, walking into a garden and finding an answer - to meet the secret garden in our heart. In this moment, our hearts are connected with nature.

North Theater Acoustic architecture design
Project year: 2019.05~2019.06 Location: Huinan , China Catagory:Theater Academic adviser: Dake Wei,Gang Yang,Dawei Li
This is a question from the time. We should question the concept of theater that we inherited and rethink the classification of things and how they work. ——Hu Li The North Theatre is located in Huinan New District, Jilin, which is in a rapid development stage and in urgent need of various cultural facilities . Before I started the design, I investigated the opera houses and concert halls that have been built in China, and found that most of the postures are thousands of miles away. Although most of these buildings are eye-catching, they are idle most of the time due to the lack of enough performances to fill. "So it's going to bring me back to small scale and pay more attention to the function of theater and its significance in urban life. The definition of the city in the industrial aera is the residential area of non-agricultural population and non-agricultural industry agglomeration, with public facilities such as hospitals, schools, office buildings, squares, parks, etc. but only when these public spaces can carry daily life and the citizens can leave their own life memories, the city will have a sense of belonging, and the citizens will change from the onlookers to the masters of the city. No matter how information and technology change, the core of architecture and art has not changed. This is also the part that I am most interested in. I will go back to the essence of human beings and their relationship with the natural environment.

How we live with Water Urban design in flooding area in Maxaquene A,Maputo
Project year: 2020.09~2021.01 Location: Maputo, Mozambique Catagory:Urban Design Academic adviser: Maria Chiara Pastore,Corinna Del Bianco Team member:Zhong Yue ,Peichun Jiang,Ege Balibek,
“What defines a character of a city is its public space, not its private space. What defines the valueof the private assets of the space are not the private assets but the common assets. We need to show every day that public spaces are an asset to a city. ——Joan Closi Matheu Maxaquene A is located in the transition region between cimento city and peri-urban areas, to the north of Av. chissano. Main roads and bus lines are going alongside its border to cimento city, airport, markets and coastline. Our main concept is to improve the quality of public spaces in Maxaquene A as renovating the infrastructure of drainage system. To achieve this, our design can be devided into three parts: the renovation of drainage system, placement of flexible system. and the construction of public buildings. Both the flexibale and fixed systerm are based on the water systerm,by which means both the flood and security problem can be solved by increasing the publicity along water canals. And each of the process is both suppoted by both the government and local residents.
