B2 Waterproofing (Tanking): Provide 1000mi Tankon vertical tanking to foundation walls at all level changes up to heights 900mm. This work to be carried out in strict accordance with manufacturer specifications and data sheets. a Cured and sealed sample of 2000mm x 2000mm to be prepared (area for sample to be agreed upon on site) for architects approval prior to commencement of any further areas. Allow for tiled skirting all round. (tile to match floor tile). (refer to PC allowed for floor tiles). C3 Concrete surface bed: Concrete surface bed (min 85mm) on 250 micron Tarcon Damp Proof Membrane (DPM). Surface bed to be cast on min. 150mm good, clean hard core consolidated fill treated with ant poison according to SABS 024. (certificate to be presented to client and issued at end of contract). Hard core fill to be compacted in layers to not exceeding 150mm (to engineers specification). C4 Carpet tiles: Carpet tiles to later specification and architects approval laid on min 35mm screed. Joints in carpet to be visible. Samples of cover strips to be presented to architect for approval. The thickness of the screed to be laid should take in account the specified carpet tiles thickness, to ensure same final FFL between different floor finishes. Allow for timber skirting at floor wall junctions. (75 high meranti skirting, stained and sealed to spec.). (refer to PC allowed for carpet) C5 Paving reinstated: Existing paving to be removed to clear area for construction and material storage. Paving to be re-instated afterwards. Ensure that no paving, temporeraly removed or areas leading to construction area, are protected and not damaged during construction. Confirm with Client where to store extra over stock on property. D WALLS D1 Clay face brick wall: Clay face brick with joints to match existing. Bonding to be stretcher bond to match existing / or as per drawings where or if indicated differently. Batch order of bricks and sand to be secured by contractor at suppliers to ensure new and existing work to be consistent in colour and finish. Selections to be approved by architect prior to order. Contractor to take care to keep bricks clean during construction. a Cured and finished wall sample (all as per the above) of 2000mm x 2000mm to be prepared for architects approval prior to commencement of any further areas. Area for this sample to be agreed upon on site by client architect and contractor. D2 Smooth plaster & paint: Flush jointed clay stock bricks to receive two coats smooth plaster finish. a Cured and finished plaster wall sample (all as per the above) of 2000mm x 2000mm to be prepared for architects approval prior to commencement of any further areas. Plaster to receive paint to specification. Area for this sample to be agreed upon on site by client architect and contractor. Preparation of raw surfaces and application of products as per manufacturer's specification and data sheets. D5 Removable wpc duct-board: Removable wpc (wood plastic composite material) horisontal decking access panel fixed to drainage duct to architects specification and details. (refer to PS allowed for duct cover) E CEILINGS E1 Plaster board ceiling: Existing gypsum ceiling and brandering to be removed and replaced by specialist. All necessary services and access hatches to be confirmed prior to installation of ceilings. Install 9,5mm Rhino plastered ceiling fixed to SABS approved SA Pine, at 400mm centres in one direction onto which 9,5mm Taper or Square-edge Rhinoboard is fixed at right angles to the branders with printed side up using, 32mm galvanised clout nails or 32mm grabber screws for timber, spaced at 150mm centres. All joints to be covered with RhinoTape (double over butt joints) and the ceiling then plastered with a 3- 6mm coat of RhinoLite or CreteStone plaster applied as per manufacturer's instructions. Ceiling to be painted to spec. 45 x 45 coved cornice to architects approval to be installed at all wall ceiling junctions. Cornice options to be submitted to architect for approval prior to order or installation. E2 Plastered concrete slab: Concrete slab to receive 2 coats plaster with a rhinolite final plaster coat by specialist. Ceiling to be painted to spec. 45 x 45 coved cornice to architects approval to be installed at all wall ceiling junctions. a Plastered ceiling sample (all as per the above) of min 2000mm x 2000mm to be prepared for architects approval prior to commencement of any further areas.
