Zina Bercovici

The Winter Salon International Art Exhibition is held in the colorful and beautiful town of Strasburg, France taking place in the charming Josephine Pavilion, with its rich historical ambience providing the viewer with a unique perspective on art. Josephine, the first wife of Emperor Napoleon, lived in the palace in the early years of the 19th Century. The Pavilion is well preserved and still exudes the culture of that era. Strasbourg is the capital and principal city of the Alsace region and is blessed with a charming blend of Franco-German culture. The Pavilion can be found near to Palais de Europe, Palais de Musique and Parlament European. It is my pleasure to organize this, the first Winter Salon - Strasbourg International Art Exhibition. The art salon is organized to tighten the cultural dialogue between visual art artists from 20 countries: Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands,

Turkey, U.S.A, UK and Ukraine. The 180 works of art presented by 42 well-known artists will bring to the people of Strasbourg the beauty and passions of the spirit of art from diverse countries around the world. Through their art works each artist shares their personal reflections and interpretation of the spirit and cultural influences of their country and heritage, creating a distinctive and multi-cultural artistic event, with a feast of colours, shapes, styles and techniques, all merging into a vibrant artistic kaleidoscope. Art is an universal language that connects people from all over the world. Circles of art do not end in one country; they intersect, covering the globe. I believe that this event will have a long lasting impact and create lasting friendships between different cultures, peoples and artists. I would like to thank each artist for their collaboration and to wish them great success in their art creations. Zina Bercovici
