LISSONI SOFA™
The Lissoni Sofa™ by the Italian designer Piero Lissoni is a sophisticated and contemporary sofa in an international design language. The clear horizontal and vertical lines that are very obvious in the contours of the base and comfortable cushions, characterize the sofa. The sofa is a prime example of Piero Lissoni’s design principle never to design for a specific function or purpose - but to design for human beings. You also sense his great admiration for the designs of Poul Kjærholm and Arne Jacobsen and their ability to be ahead of time.
PIERO LISSONI 1956Italian Piero Lissoni is a well-known designer and architect with a degree from the Polytechnico of Milan. In 1986 Lissoni founded the Studio Lissoni. Since then Piero Lissoni has worked with a dense list of design brands, such as Boffi, Cassina, Kartell, Living Divani and Flos on a wide diversity of designs of furniture and lighting. Lissonis’s projects are often total designs, i.e. full-scale interiors and architecture of hotels, offices and showrooms, yachts and private homes. He’s inspired by many different elements but also designers such as Danish Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjærholm. Piero Lissoni’s design principle is never to design for a specific function or purpose - but to design for human beings. For Fritz Hansen Piero Lissoni designed Lissoni Series in 2006 and in the autumn 2008, Alphabet™, a new modular sofa series is introduced.

DESCRIPTION
The chair/sofa are tested according to EN 1728 for strength and durability, level 4 (out of 5 possible), i.e. normal use in public environments, e.g. offices, according to DS/INF 130 and EN 1022 stability.
Sofa designed by Piero Lissoni, manufactured by Fritz Hansen. The Lissoni Sofa comes fully upholstered in fabric or leather with upholstered armrests and the frame is in matt polished stainless steel. Seat and back cushion cover is detachable. The cushion stuffing is ball fibre and feathers. The base is nozak springs and the stainless steal or black lacquered legs have opal plastic glides. The sofa is available with cushions made of fire-retardant material, which complies with the British fire regulations to the housing market. MODEL PL112 – 2-seater sofa, with armrests. WARRANTY Standard goods have warranty for five years against manufacturing defects (i.e. materials and design). The warranty does not cover leather and other fabrics ordered as customers own or special material. Normal wear and tear and damage of covers are not covered by the warranty. Fritz Hansen offer up to 10 years limited warranty if the products are registered online at fritzhansen.com/my-republic. The warranty for wicker, rugs and lamps is 2 years.
