The Syrian Civil War is without a doubt the worst humanitarian crisis since the Second World War, which has resulted in more than 250.000 people killed, 130.000 missing and over 7.6 million internally displaced. The goal of my project is to introduce new housing concept for the post-war Syria, which will in short-term provide qualitative solution for mass social housing in all damage areas by Integrate of the new housing with existing constructions (damaged and/or ruined); using the techniques of the traditional house in old Damascus city, and the social aspect in an advanced phase of the design by using big data.

Because of the living conditions in the current refugee camps and temporary buildings across Europe and other countries are mostly inhuman, making refugees feel desperate, since there’s also nowhere to come back as the Syrian towns are in ruins, offering nothing to people who once lived there. For that’s reason the new housing concept should become a creation of such living conditions which will be attractive for once displaced Syrians to return. People, who spent years in temporary shelters and adapted buildings, will look for “solid ground” to begin a new life. New housing concept should be able to permanently accommodate people in need of a new home and become a new page in the history of Syria. Software: Rhino - Grasshopper - Ecotect - Photoshop

Designed by: Mhd Ziwar Al Nouri - Dima Isaiev http://studio-sejima-vienna.com/ Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glpq5rSkhCM
Inujima is a small island off Okayama in the Seto Inland Sea. Inujima has become known as a site for modern art in recent years and serves as a venue of the Setouchi Triennale modern art festival. Inujima is occupied by a small rural village, on the north east part of island which is home to about one hundred people. Scattered across the small, peaceful village are the five galleries of the Inujima Art House Project and have become permanent attractions on the island. They can all be explored in a pleasant 1-2 hour walk through the narrow lanes of the village. Our proposal is to create the balance between the power attractions places of Inujima by creating new pavilions through the use of the traditional “five senses” model (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste) as references, and locating them in an appropriate spatial condition place through invest the environment aspects in the island, and connect all the pavilions with one path, and letting the visitors to experience their senses, and explore the rest part of Inujima. Our idea is to use a gradient wooden skin and structure to explore the structural and design possibility that this material can offer, with solar panel on the south facade in order to exploit the solar radiance, and using in the north facade algae panel to generate heat and biomass, as renewable energy sources. the biomass and heat generated by the facade are transported by a closed loop system to the building’s energy management center, where the biomass is harvested through floatation and the heat by a heat exchanger. because the system is fully integrated with the building services, the excess heat from the photo bioreactors (pbrs) can be used to help supply hot water or heat the building, or stored for later use. Because microalgae absorb daylight, bioreactors can also be used as dynamic shading devices. the cell density inside the bioreactors depends on available light and the harvesting regime. Our idea is to make the position of different rooms in section according to the interior temperature. The skin is created out of 8 precast concrete units. These units are staggered across the facade in order to balance the required glazing with the necessity for self shading to reduce solar heat gain. The units catch two forms of solar radiation, heat and light. The thick skin shades itself in an updated version of a brise-soleil and through the dimpling in the panels catches shadows producing an all-over optical effect. Each panel is dimpled toward a slightly different depth. These catch the light of the sun to create a shallow relief of vibrated shadows. The facade is conceived of as a bas-relief sculpture. The shadow play is further intensified as the sun moves through the day creating radically different effects at different times. Of particular interest architecturally was how the pattern of dimpled panels moved across the corner condition. The building is held as a pure box with 90 degree corners, but the pattern is independent of the building geometry and optically moves through the corner. This was an attempt to estrange the building through a decoration of surface qualities at odds with the simplicity of the mass. Software: Rhino - Grasshopper - Ecotect - Maya - Cinema4D - Photoshop

: Vienna - Austria
Designed by : Studio Hadid Vienna Publications : Studio Zaha Hadid 2000-2015, Fluid Totality – The dream of inhabiting a nature-like built environment, Birkhaeuser Verlag, 2015
Folias is a kinetic structure developed by Studio Zaha Hadid in the University of Applied Arts Vienna for its 15th anniversary. The project is part of the studio assignment “Kinetic Morphologies” on which the students worked for two semesters from September 2014 till June 2015. Divided in 5 groups the students developed designs of a large kinetic structures 1:1 scale based on comprehensive studies over different biological phenomenon. After an internal competition within the studio, one design was chosen to be realised.
During the first phase, the students’ objective was to identify and analyze a wide variety of biological organisms whose transformative potential could be adapted for architectural use, in the broadest sense of the word. Here, the focus was placed not only on the specific biokinetic functionality of the reference model (pneumatic, chemical, or mechanical processes, etc.), but also and above all on the performative and formal qualities directly associated with it (reactions to changing parameters of its environment, etc. / changes in surface structure, translucency/transparency, color, etc.).

Design Team: Mhd Ziwar Al Nouri - Banafsheh Fahimipour - Roy Kim Publications : Studio Zaha Hadid 2000-2015, Fluid Totality – The dream of inhabiting a nature-like built environment, Birkhaeuser Verlag, 2015 The purpose of this project is to create adaptive extensions for the London design museum, by identify biological organizations of Blue dragon that due to their transformative performance show a high potential for architectural appropriation, analyses and abstract the processes that underlie their Metamorphosis. The focus of this project is to create a combination between two systems the pneumatic system and origami pattern ,and apply that’s system in different functions, when it’s inflate affecting on the origami to open and close to get the light exposure or to be as seating area. Because of their non-linear properties, differential material capacities and multiple states of stability, pneumatic systems are well suited to the construction of highly articulated structures that are transparent, lightweight and rapidly deployable. To develop a design that would suit the shelter typology, the project explored pneumatic systems on three scales: single cushion, group of cushions, and overall assembly of a shelter unit. To deliver additional performance capacity to the system. The sectional differentiation of the pneumatic shelters is based on aerodynamics, so as to stabilize it and modulate the light and temperature conditions of the interior. The distribution pattern of the Origami on these cushions contributes to the modulation of solar penetration and visual exposure. Being homeless becomes unfortunate reality for an increasing number of people in Vienna. Although this situtation is not often visible to our relative wealthy society, rising living expenses causes this problem to grow constantly. The noHOME pavilion shall paraphrase the idea of a sheltered space, which at the same time does not satisfy the basic needs of a home (sleeping, eating, living). It is conceived as an architectural opportunity to draw public attention towards the social problem of homelessness. The aim of the design is to raise consciousness about implications of being homeless for the persons concerned and their perception in society. in order to achieve this, a certain ambiguity between inside abd outside with varying degrees of exposure, the perception of a hostile environment leading to an aggressive contextual interface and a limitation of space without the provision of shelter functions to weather conditions. The project has been conceived and realized by master in architecture students with the support of University of Applied Arts Vienna. “FOLIAPP” 2015 APP Foliapp developed by: Mhd Ziwar Al Nouri *Folias : Kinetic Pavillion Project by Studio Zaha Hadid Vienna
Foliapp is an iOS and Android application which serves as a versatile digital archive of the project’s design process and details of *Folias. The app showcases the biological research conducted at the onset of the project, the initial design concepts, and the final project in detail. Foliapp allows the user to view the different parts of the project in 3D giving the user the possibility to pan, zoom and orbit around the 5 main aspects of Folias (substructure, membrane, mechanism, choreography and lightning) making it easy to understand how Folias works through videos, images, and 3D models of the project and its parts ,and using Augmented Reality technology.
Foliapp is developed by Ziwar Al Nouri on the Unity3D platform.

“AUGMENTED REALITY 2014 AR&VR Design team: Mhd Ziwar Al Nouri Advisor: Director of BAD RX. Luis E. Fraguada
Augmented Reality is a new technology that is starting to spread. Basically, it consists on mixing 3RD model with live footage in real time. This concept has been applied to futuristic interfaces, and it can be very helpful for architects as it allows you to take 3RD Models a step further, placed on the real world and show it to your clients. My Concept was to create an Application for the project, and make settings for each project by controlling the light, layers, shadows, and Blocks.
You could use your Augmented Reality application to: Present all the constructions details of a complex or development to customers. Present your tender for a construction project Show the different options for finishes on the same model.
Software: Rhino -Unity 3RD - Grasshopper- C# and Java Scripting.
