The camp center is located in northeast Pennsylvania. and is surrounded by beautiful mountains and picturesque streams. One of the most human-like societies in nature is the Ant Colony. Ant nest is structred with horizontal chambers and vertical tunnels. The collective behavior that ants perform is by increasing information flow with each other by increasing the number of paths in the chamber.

Using the same principle allows an increase the flow of information in each space, giving children the opportunities to explore and interact with each other. This is enhanced by creating interaction windows in each space. The space also mimics the organic form of the ant nest to provide chambers in the space.

The material of the second floor uses the wood on the floor to continue the design from the first floor. In the kitchen, the counter is made of terrazzo, which has high durability with minimal maintenance material, and It also has high recycled and reused material percentage.

The organic feature piece is implemented into the space to mimic the ant nest and provide several cut out windows for children to explore the space and increase the flow of the information of the space. The materials of the space are sustainable choices with organic wood and Marmoleum Solid sheet that is not only aesthetically appealing, the flooring sheet but is also sustainable with high durability for them to running around.

The activity space combines with a stage to provide a focal point for children to gathering together. The rendering on the right shows that the connection between indirect (window) and direct pathway provides a peek from the stage to the entrance.

The Second-floor kitchen is barrier free space with the wheelchair accessible sink, stove and multiple level counters. The television shelf and decorative wall shelves both mimic the organic form of the ant nest to continue the design through all the space.
