Shiyi Court Shiyi Garden located next to the ancient moat in Suzhou, a water town, providing a free container for lost craftsmen aiming to inherit traditional handicrafts.

Su people think that those who are elegant will follow the four directions as elegant; those who are vulgar will follow the vulgarity. '

Jiangsu province, China In the modern Suzhou, the conventional handcrafts have fell as culture in the past and the making process is no longer the most popular daily activity in most families. Most existed handcrafts are inherited by anicent family in old city and through the policies of government, some commercial shops in particular district and museum also play essential role to help people protect and inherit th ancient culture.

East Section with Elevation Cutting from the west side with a polyline, the scenery of the livng space environment, as well as the relation of inner space and boxes outside could be seen.

In the living space, the master craftsmen and the apprentices could sharing special skills in their particular and delicate rooms and have communication with other guests in the public space.

Staying in the inner living space, guests could move to outside market conveniently, to popularize the precious traditional skill in China, with excellent ancient city scenery of Suzhou.

Taking the elevator to the top outcropping platform, guests can enjoy the beautiful view of the historic moat and the modern Suzhou city on the opposite bank.




Dream Libraray

Dream library is a children library located at the corner of the old city of Suzhou, providing a paradise park for children to read in the busy society.

' In the small pond full of water, frogs croaked from time to time, and the calm water brought a corner of the sky like a mirror, the soft nature just encloses an excellent place for children to read.'

Children architecure which was designed by making toys together. Toys were selected by the architect randomly and he just piled them onto another, getting an architecture group with many uncommon space specially for children.

University The site is in the northeast corner of the old town of Suzhou, where education facilities take a considerable propotion in this residential area. However, there is not even one library only for children in the old city, which is not beneficial for their mental development.

The interspersed volumes give different transparency to the building complex. From west to east, the height of buildings decrease. Western area near residential block is more peaceful and the east area near the street corner is more lively.

The vertical transportation is attained by the center plaze and several box sunkend into B1 floor. To get to the courtyard,the child uses the slide to reach the B1 floor, while the adult meets the child through the stairs next to it
