Quality, innovation and exceptional design are now synonymous with marks & spencer and continue to be a steering force behind the spring summer 14 collection. exQuisite attention to detail and finish with an awareness of the contemporary woman have underpinned every aspect of this collection. luxurious fabrication, an exploration of both the bold and muted colour palette and vivid new prints have shaped the spring summer 14 collection into a vibrant and fresh aesthetic with a distinctive trend direction. this season there has been a notable shift towards sleek styling and minimal design, clean lines and soft construction epitomise this look and feel. whites, nudes and champagne metallics provide a soft tonal backdrop while an emphasis on voluminous shaping and proportional variety infused with a feminine sensibility define the visual. when abstract print, bold colour and feminine textiles come into play, there continues to be an emphasis on the luxurious. leather has been explored to include sumptuous new shades, lace has been intricately worked into classic shaping and pastel tones have been given a feminine edge. the overarching mood for the spring summer 14 collection is one of understated elegance embracing the finesse of contemporary design.
