We must admit, we had been playing with the idea of a RALLYE DES CHÂTEAUX for quite some time. And why wouldn’t we? Driving from castle to castle, enjoying the sun on our face and visiting authentic villages with nothing but ‘un bar tabac’ and ‘une boulangerie’, seems like the perfect playground for classic cars and its enthusiastic drivers.

Wednesday night - Les Grandes Ecuries ‘Hotel Auberge du Jeu de Paume’ is next to the Chantilly Castle. ‘Château de Chantilly’ is one of the finest jewels in the crown of France’s cultural heritage. At night, an unforgettable spectacle awaits as we cross the street to the magnificent estate of the world famous Grandes Écuries. Combining poetry, acrobatics and humor, we enjoy an equestrian show beneath the 28 metre high majestic dome of the Grandes Écuries from the ring-shaped spectators’ stand.

DAY 1
Thursday morning - From Chantilly to Compiègne After breakfast we gather at the beautiful Castle of Chantilly. Off we go, for a sporty tour until we reach the overwhelming Château de Compiègne, driving up through the park to its sublime entrance. We arrive around lunchtime for a delicious meal, offering our company some time to unwind and more importantly soak up the extraordinary historic culture and surroundings of the castle.

DAY 1
Thursday afternoon - Château De Chantilly In the afternoon, we are only a short drive away at a comfortable pace from our hotel Auberge du Jeu de Paume*****. Deliberately, we foresee not too much road time per day, but just enough as first and foremost we want our guests to be able to absorb the uniqueness of everything this programme has to offer, without feeling rushed. At night, you’re welcome to a grand dinner in Chantilly’s enchanting castle, on the banks of the Oise river. ‘Château de Chantilly’ is one of the finest jewels in the crown of France’s cultural heritage. It is the work of a man with an extraordinary destiny: Henri d’Orléans, Duke of Aumale, son of the last King of France, Louis-Philippe. This prince, who is considered to be the greatest collector of his time, made Chantilly the showcase for his countless masterpieces and precious manuscripts.

Friday morning - From Chantilly to Caugé-Evreux Another day of gasoline and castles! After breakfast in Chantilly we head to Le Manoir Henri IV for lunch. Le Manoir Henri IV is located in Caugé- Evreux. The beautiful garden around the authentic houses is the perfect place to have lunch. The wooden elements and flowered facades give you an instant nostalgic and fairy-like feeling.

Friday afternoon - From Caugé-Evreux to Deauville We end our rally day in the luxurious seaside resort Deauville where famous Anglo- Norman hotel Le Normandy***** is our stay for the following 2 nights offering a myriad of things to do: “dive into the private pool, daydream on the Planches boardwalk or place a bet at the Casino. Deauville is at your door.” A surprise dinner in a unique location awaits, if the weather is on our side.

DAY 3
Saturday - From Deauville to Châteaux Du Taillis The last day of rallying! Starting in Deauville to Châteaux De La Taillée. In 1532, Richard du FAY began building the Château in the first half of the 16th century. The Second Italian Renaissance style building is to this day the only vestige of this type in Seine-Maritime. At the beginning of the 17th century, Jacques I du Fay du Taillis added two Louis XIII style pavilions to the Château. The Château du Taillis is today in the same architectural state as it was at the time of the French Revolution.
Saturday afternoon - From Châteaux Du Taillis to Deauville Back to Hôtel Barrière Le Normandy***** in Deauville A beautiful gala evening awaits you in their restaurant, Le Coté Royal. In the generous atmosphere you have been in for several days, we are ready to celebrate the marvelous weekend. Are you ready for a royal dinner?
