T. F. T. I... We got some cool interviews with people about the first time they did something.
Ella Gardner: The first time I had ever went on a rollercoaster was when someone dared me. I was 6 yrs. old when a boy named Bob said, “hey little girl, I dare you to go on that coaster over there”. I was scared but I said, “okay”. I did it and loved it. From then on I love rollercoasters. Morgan Collins: The first time I rode my bike was on Christmas. I rode my bike in my house. I scraped my ankle. Now I like riding bikes with two wheels. Mr. Danenberg: The first time I started doing art was when I was 3 yrs. old and my mom told me that I took all my toy cars, and put them in a perfect straight line; I designed the cars. Another art project I was cartoon drawing. There was a student election going on and they asked me to do their posters for them. I did them and they won the election.

Volleyball Tournament
St. James’ Preschool
by Eliza Yoon
by Nicole Klar and Lilah Sitkevich
Volleyball is very important to St. James’ school because we have a tournament every year. Only the 6th grade get to compete. Mr. DiPasquale and Mrs. Brown are in charge of this whole thing. It will be held on Tuesday, November 15. All of the 6th grade and the P.E teachers go to CEE, the Center of Early Education, and compete with their 6th grade. Our 6th grade has been working so hard this year. They have been practicing in the morning, at recess time, at lunch recess, and at P.E time. The 6th graders get there at 9:30, play until 12:30, eat lunch, have free-time, and come back around 2:00. This year we will definitely win the tournament. It is not about winning, but it is about having fun that matters.
The new preschool construction project is hoping to start at the end of October. It will be around the corner from St. James’, and will be a one level play area with more classrooms. There are architects and Board Members helping with the process. The school is hoping to finish by the end of September 2012. Everyone is really excited for the new building.
