Full Tuition Scholarship
What it offers:
This scholarship covers the tuition for 4 years for any ethnic minority who is starting a full-time 4-year undergraduate degree (bachelor's degree) programme at any of the eight UGC-funded universities.
Preference will be given to students who haven't received The Zubin Foundation (TZF) scholarship in previous years.
What is a UGC-funded university?
The 8 UGC funded universities are:
• City University of Hong Kong (CityU)
• Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU)
• Lingnan University (LU)
• The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)
• The Education University of Hong Kong (EduHK)
• The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)
• The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)
• The University of Hong Kong (HKU)
What will the scholarship cover?
• Full tuition fees for 4 years to which will be paid directly to the university.
• The tuition for the next academic year is contingent upon the scholarship recipient satisfactorily meeting his/her responsibilities (see below ‘What are the responsibilities of the recipient?’).
• Participate in meetup and mentoring sessions held by sponsors, company mentors and professional coaches.
What are the responsibilities of the recipient?
• Submit academic grades each semester to TZF no more than 1 week after its receipt by the recipient.
• Write yearly letter of what has most shaped the scholar over the past academic year, by 30th June of each academic year.
• Undertake 20 hours of Community Service with any Hong Kong NGO every year and obtain a letter from the CEO/ED/Social worker of that organisation to that effect.
• Show commitment to attend and participate in TZF’s capacity building programmes.
• Attend sponsor’s events as scheduled and when invited.
• Complete a well-being check-up organised by TZF.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Ethnic minority female for the 2024 Cohort
• A resident of Hong Kong
• Must have obtained a written offer for starting a full-time undergraduate/bachelor’s degree from a UGC-funded university in 2024.
Scoring of Applications:
Total Score: 100 points
• Financial Need: 40 points
• Academic Performance: 30 points
• Leadership Skills: 5 points
