From The Founder Since 1995, our mission has been simple and unchanged - blend traditional craftsmanship with sustainable materials and methods. We believe this is the best way to deliver quality gear for the pursuit of snowboarding, skateboarding, and the good times that happen along the way. We take great pleasure in highlighting athletes and artists who support this approach and contribute so significantly to our efforts. This mindful, more collective style ensures the planet is always considered as we develop unique products for chasing life’s great lines. We’ve worked hard to build an honest reputation for performance, worth, and a timeless style rooted in our long-standing use of natural materials. The only way this happened was by sticking to the original Arbor mission and partnering with our dealers. I want to thank each of you for that partnership, your friendship, and the ongoing dialog that drives so much progression. The Arbor Snowboards Story Arbor was founded in 1995 to focus on the environment in the construction of the most mindfully crafted snowboards possible. For 24 years, we have used sustainable forest products to achieve this objective. Along the way, we select the most responsible processes and components possible. Since day one, we have used proceeds from the sale of our line to fund the preservation of indigenous forests - giving back much more than we responsibly take out.

We work with a wide range of fast growing, highly renewable wood and bamboo materials obtained from well-managed forests and other sustainable, non-native sources of supply.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) has certified that the wood and bamboo materials used in our snowboards, including all cores, are derived from responsibly managed forests.

processed with modern methods that stretch the material. By maximizing these resources, we minimize our impact on the planet. Less is always more.

During construction, our wood & bamboo Powerply tops become a structural layer. The natural fibers enhance pop and durability, while reducing our reliance on non-biodegradable fiberglass.

We use the most sustainable components possible. All edges are made from recycled steel, topsheets are made from bio-based nylon, and every board is tuned with a non-flouro wax. Additionally, we use recycled ABS sidewall material whenever possible.

The Clovis is Arbor’s latest System Camber gun. We designed the Clovis with pro team rider Mark Carter, who drew shaping inspiration from Native American arrowheads to deliver the performance, power, and stability required for hunting massive mountain lines. The 2020 Clovis has an updated shaping profile with additional volume in the nose, increased overall width, added taper, and a shorter tail length for maximum float. Increased snap and torsional rebound increase control in critical situations thanks to four Carbon A-Frames that run diagonally towards the center of the board from the outside contact points. Bryan Iguchi’s career has evolved over the course of more than twenty years as a professional snowboarder. What started in the fabled Outlaw Terrapin Park at Bear Mountain has found an organic home in the backcountry of Teton National Park. As Iguchi’s environment has evolved, so has his riding. By its nature, a continual state of evolution necessitates creation and innovation. The Annex is the product of this innovation and collaboration with one of snowboarding’s most prolific and influential characters.

The base graphic on the Annex was pulled from “Art of Erosion,” Bryan’s first solo art exhibition hosted at the discontinued Asymbol Gallery in Jackson, WY. The specific piece is “Dissipation” and serves as representation of Iguchi’s personal exploration into “scratching the surface of space and time.”

The Annex is the newest and most technical creation to stem from the ongoing collaboration between Bryan Iguchi and Arbor Snowboards. As Bryan’s riding progressed to a state where he spends most of his time riding big-mountain lines, he needed a directional evolution of the fundamental performance we built into the Iguchi Pro Camber. Built on our System Camber technology, the Annex features a longer, drawn out nose with additional taper and a stub tail. The combination of these three features allow the board to float through powder effortlessly with increased power and drive when setting an edge. The Bio-Plastic Topsheet binds a Powerply stringer with our brand-new Carbon Vector Net reinforcements resulting in evenly distributed torsional power and accellerated response from tip to tail. Base Plate We designed our new baseplate to enhance the link between a rider and their snowboard, while reducing the impact that bindings have on board flex. We achieve this seamless connection with three technologies: System X, Outsole, and Organic Flex.

The newest addition to our expanding arsenal of Arbor quality backcountry products, we’re proud to introduce the Angusta Splitboard Climbing Skin. Designed to perfectly compliment the Iguchi Pro Split, Coda Split, and Swoon Split models, the Angusta Split Skin is built with a 70/30 Mohair/Nylon blend that optimizes uphill grip while maintaining downhill glide. We’ve used a glue-free adhesive that upholds a strong connection with the base of your splitboard. One size fits all with this trim-to-fit Austrian-made, Arbor quality splitboard skin.

The System ARBOR OFFERS A FULL LINEUP OF ROCKER SYSTEM AND CAMBER SYSTEM DESIGNS. The System is Arbor’s principal design platform. We developed The System to improve true rocker and camber designs by maintaining the integrity of both platforms without fusing either into a hybrid design. We believe that hybridization sacrifices some of the inherent benefits of each design philosophy. The System is an advanced rocker and camber design that improves upon the benefits of each platform depending on the needs of each rider. Whether you prefer the crisp, fully engaged performance of camber or the surfy, butter feel of rocker, The System creates a clean, effective connection to the snow, delivering a smooth ride with enhanced control.

Grip Tech / Uprise Fenders Grip Tech is a tri–radial sidecut design that is not “blended.” Natural shaping intersections, that in the past were eliminated, have been transformed into heel and toe contact points that provide a direct, more ergonomic way to grip the snow when additional control is needed. The extra contacts also form pivot zones that make turning easier and more natural. Grip Tech effectively moves a board’s primary interface with the snow underfoot, allowing us to deliver designs that don’t lose performance as we lift leading sections of the effective edge from the snow for a less grabby ride. Those designs include rocker, or camber with our new Uprise Fenders. Uprise Fenders pull the outside contact zones off the snow with angled 3º risers on all Camber System designs.

Parabolic Profiling The System utilizes rocker or camber profiles created using the parabolic arc, which progressively reduces the amount of rocker or camber toward the tip and tail of a snowboard. This creates low, more effective profiles. On our Rocker System designs, parabolic profiling ensures the outside contact points are close enough to the snow to engage when maximum performance is required – higher speeds, fully loaded turns, and bigger landings. On Camber System designs, this guarantees the outside contact points do not dig too far into the snow, creating a cleaner, less catchy performance that makes it easier to turn, spin, and ride fast.

Pow Fenders

Pow Tech and Pow Fenders are a powder-specific version of the System Technology, offered on the Cask and Terrapin models. With PowTech, we’ve eliminated the front two GripTech contact points and moved the board’s primary interface with the snow under your back foot, allowing us to deliver powder specific performance driven by the power of your back leg. Pow Fenders are oversized Up-Rise Fenders that pull the outside contact points up off the snow, creating smooth turning and extra float. 45

Snowboard Materials

POWERPLY: Our signature Powerply topsheets are made with a sustainably sourced wood or bamboo topsheet. We refer to this technology as a Power Ply. The natural grain creates the style we’ve been known for since we launched in 1995. Less recognized is how the technology improves the strength, durability, and return of our snowboards. The Power Ply works like an added layer of fiberglass. During construction, the natural wood or bamboo fibers are turned into a composite layer inside the board, but the process takes time. We start with a log that must be soakedso that it can be sliced or “veneered” into sheets, which are then assembled into “faces”. The “faces” are then backed with a special fleece material, precision sanded, and pre– laminated to a protective foil made in part from natural castor bean oil. The finished topsheet is at last ready to be built into a snowboard. In the end, the process makes Arbor Power Ply designs the most labor–intensive snowboards on the market. The resulting performance, board life, finish quality, reduced reliance on man–made glues, coatings, and composites are worth the extra effort.
