Our first goggles were hand-built out of the back of Dr. Bob Smith’s van over 45 years ago. Since those humble beginnings, we haven’t strayed far from those snowy parking lots. To this day, Smith designs each of its products from its offices in Sun Valley, Idaho, and continues to build each goggle by hand at our factory in Clearfield, Utah. AIREVAC 2: CONSTANT AIRFLOW

The key to ultimate integration starts with the precise fit of the Smith goggle and helmet. Our helmets are designed to match the curvature of the goggle frame, eliminating “gaper gap” and allowing precise alignment between the helmet AirEvac and the goggle venting systems.

Goggles fog when standard helmets trap warm, moist air in the goggle chamber. Smith’s AirEvac ventilation systems generate maximum airflow and pull warm, fog-causing air out of the goggle. The warm air is allowed to exhaust out of the top of the goggle and begin its path through the helmet’s AirEvac system.

AirEvac 2 continues to drive the warm air away from the goggle through external vents and internal channels in the EPS liner. Internal airflow can be adjusted through the helmet’s Regulator climate control system.

Engineered to adjust to a full range of face shapes and sizes, the Articulating Outrigger Positioning System evenly transfers pressure across brow and nose to ensure a complete seal against the face. When used with a helmet, the outrigger articulates allowing the goggle frame to sink into the helmet face port, providing a comfortable and consistent fit every time.

Turn the fan on when you get to the hill and in the low setting, the Turbo Fan system will run continuously all day long to exhaust moisture from inside the goggle. The high setting can be used to quickly exhaust moisture in extreme conditions.

REGULATOR VENTILATION Patented Regulator adjustable lens ventilation system in our Regulator Series provides added control of airflow through the goggle. Use the open position while stopped in line or on the lift to increase the circulation of dry, fresh air. Close it before descending to prevent tearing.

AIRFLOW VENTILATION Featured in our Airflow and select Junior Series models, our Airflow lens technology features vents in the brow of the lens that increase the circulation of fresh air to keep the inner lens dry and fog-free. A semi-porous foam filter is positioned behind the vents to prevent snow and moisture from infiltrating the goggle chamber.

Break-through photochromic technology has enabled our photochromic inner lens to react to visible light in addition to UV light, allowing the material to be placed inside the thermal lens, keeping it warm and dry. This helps us to overcome the biggest obstacle in photochromic technology, which is low reactivity in temperatures below freezing.

With the photochromic lens placed behind the outer lens barrier, the ambient temperature inside the goggle ensures reactivity all day long, regardless of outside conditions. Each one is individually molded to offer optimum scratch and impact resistance, increased visual acuity, and enhanced contrast sensitivity. The inner lens is impregnated with our Anti-Fog lens treatments for increased anti-fog performance. The Carbonic-X lens meets Class 1 optical standards as well as ANSI Z80.3 standards. DUAL REGULATOR Temperature control is THE most important feature when considering how to enjoy the entire day on the hill. Our Dual Regulator ventilation system independently controls the front and rear sections of the Vantage venting, allowing you to modulate your body temperature even in extremely cold conditions. By exhausting heat through the rear vents while maintaining a sealed front end, your body can effectively cool down if needed and avoid the dreaded “ice cream headache”.

REGULATOR Adjustable, easy to use and extremely effective climate control, our low profile Regulator ventilation system allows you to modify the amount of airflow and heat exhaust even with a gloved hand.

AIRFLOW Airflow ventilation utilizes strategically placed vents for easy climate control in all conditions. Vent placement maximizes airflow and heat exhaustion in warm temperatures while minimizing undesired cold air drafts. Fabric flaps in the lining design on certain models allow you to open and close the airflow vents for personal comfort

The result is a modern design that provides a lightweight, low-profile, perfect fitting helmet.

We continue our evolution of Hybrid Shell construction with the Hybrid In-Mold technology. This construction applies the combined shell construction of our other industry-leading hybrid helmets, using all lightweight, In-Mold materials. Hybrid In-Mold offers a lightweight Regulator helmet with the reduced volume and low-profile only found in Smith Hybrid Shell construction.

Bombshell construction uses an injection molded ABS shell to withstand high-impacts and offer unparalleled durability, dent, and ding resistance. If you expect your helmet to be as tough as your truck, Bombshell delivers.

GOGGLE: FLEXIBLE URETHANE FRAME

HELMET: EVOLVE X-STATIC ® LINING

In 2008, we reduced our dependency on virgin urethane creating goggles from 96% re-ground urethane, utilizing recycled material from other companies’ waste. We’ve now integrated Pearlthane ECO bio-TPU into our goggles. Composed of 40% bio-based material, Pearlthane ECO is derived from plant-based oils separate from the world’s food supply. Simply put, this new material performs equally as well as traditional urethane while contributing up to 40% fewer global warming emissions.

A full feature X-Static fabric that maintains its high level of performance while being ecologically friendly by using sustainable and renewable raw materials. Evolve X-Static is made by blending up to 50% recycled silver with other recycled materials to create a performance fabric that is 3.7% X-Static and 96.3% recycled polyester.
