The first chapter "籽之萃" recreates a brand new oil bottle and exclusive spoon of Taiwanese Camellia Oil to bring the spirit of hand-made craftsmanship into mass production. Collaborating with "Hwa-Hsia Glass" and "Spring Pool Glass" to challenge the extremes of glass craftsmanship. Find the organic curve and mellow feeling in nature.

Design Requirements . Survey of cooking oil competing products to analyze the product positioning of Cha tzu tang 3.0 . Reduce the use of redundant materials and consumables, increase the use of recycled materials . Camellia oil is positioned as the core product for the brand. Make luxurious and high-quality image . The Eastern spirit of "compliance with nature" and "live at the mercy of the weather", which is a rare attitude in western society, is deeply embedded in people's daily lives.

“ Grown by nature and crafted by man ” Cha tzu tang insist on telling local stories and circular econmy. This 3.0 oil bottle design does not strengthen the so-called "cherish the land", but strengthen the "praising life". To be proud and honorable to Taiwan.

After a long discussion, we defined three chapters for Cha tzu tang: “ 籽之萃- Camellia Oil Rejuvenation ” “ 山之淨- Healing Toiletries ”
“ 土之饒- Nourishment Series ” From going back to the land to explore, bringing more people back to connect with the land of Taiwan, and moving towards the brand in the next decade.

Fresh preservation / Tactile texture
The first chapter "籽之萃" recreates a brand new oil bottle and exclusive spoon of Taiwanese Camellia Oil to bring the spirit of hand-made craftsmanship into mass production. Find the organic curve and mellow feeling in nature.

Collaborating with "Hwa-Hsia Glass" and "Spring Pool Glass" to challenge the extremes of glass craftsmanship. This project took more than a year for us to design the appearance of a bottle that is different from the traditional type.
The three-dimensional curve of the bottle finally converged and transformed into the brand’s representative image- "comma" , which symbolizes preserving the pure Camellia Oil and the nutrients from the land in Taiwan.

Based on the "comma" image of Cha tzu tang, we designed a simple oil spoon, hand-casted with 100% recycled glass from Spring Pool Glass to achieve the goal of environmental friendliness and sustainable development.

The gift package maintains the dark color that the brand has always used, combining the curves of the oil bottle and the spoon with classic printmaking elements to blur the boundary between modernity and tradition. Cha tzu tang is consistently committed to delivering good values and blessings, and dedicated the beauty of Taiwan to everyone in this land.

Presenting authentic Taiwan through a creative mixture of folklore, technology and digital art, Taiwan HYPE is a futuristic temple — people gather at temples during important festivals, praying to deities with great sincerity and offering delicacies prepared with care. Focusing on the people’s sincerity and hospitality, the pavilion embodies Taiwanese temple culture and language through its modern design.

Design Requirements
. In line with the theme of the future temples in Taiwan, inspired by the locals, mixed with new cultural languages . Collaborate with the “TRASHPRESSO”, MINIWIZ mobile recycling plant, to give new value of discarded plastic . Can be mass-produced and distributed to visitors on site as event promotion
Taiwan HYPE: The futuristic Temple The traditional five types of sacrifices — rooster, pig, fish, duck and squid — are made into symbols representing the crossover between culture and technology. Selected Taiwanese phonetic symbols — ㄊ, ㄨ, ㄏ, ㄆ — are adopted as the primary elements of design. Visually, part of the animals are integrated with phonetic symbols to form “a new breed.”

With aesthetics as its basis, and eco-friendliness as core,a cutlery item is reimagined with Taiwanese food culture in mind, taking on a new form aptly named Re-presso Spoon. So bring home a "trash" made new, and rethink how we look at waste and its possibilities.

Re-presso Spoon, a co-creation by eco-friendly-tech company MINIWIZ, uses the flat-bottomed spoon, a cutlery of choice in Taiwan culture.
With the help of TRASHPRESSO, MINIWIZ’s mobile recycling plant, the artwork adds value to single-use plastic by playfully branding it with different usage and in different sizes - the basic Jiáo (dumpling), the bowl-shaped Wán (ball) and the plate-shaped Bāo (bun). This newly shaped spoon looks at how culture can be combined with everyday objects and how the future can be shaped through value-added reusage.

The Jiao spoon preserves the thickness and durability of traditional porcelain spoon and the simplicity of metal flat spoon; a shape that informs its culture and function.
The Wan spoon is shaped to fit ball-shaped (wan) food that are commonly found in Taiwan and helping to prevent ball-shaped food rolling out of the spoon.

The Bao spoon has a comparatively wider bottom to hold Chinese buns (bao) and the gravy that may seep through the buns.

Sleep Nomad Airport sleeping cart system
Nomads migrate between continents, just like travelers now day. The concept of "Sleep Nomad" is adopted from the way nomad lives, provides a comfort and temporary residence which fits in different rest requirements. "Sleep Nomad" is a resting rental system in airports. Travelers now can easily use mobile payment and QR code scanning with only an app, to rent a private, comfortable and a excellent sleeping experience in airports.

We found that the majority of airport in the world lacks comfortable resting public facilities or more limited in the control area, often see the passengers sleep in uncomfortable seats or floor, Resulting in Landside visitors lack of intimate and comfortable services and facilities, increase travel fatigue.
In order to gain a deeper understanding of airport facilities and passengers' rest requirement, we have visited the airports in different countries for more comprehensive investigation and analysis to find out the differences between airports in different scales and the influence of national culture.

Design Research Triangulation & Design Thinking
The project took 5 months to conduct research and in-depth investigations, including the Design Ethnography, interviews and questionnaires. Our team also went to the International airport several times to experience and find out the potential problems about resting and sleeping in public spaces. we carry out the process of design thinking from a large amount of valuable data collected, such as Affinity Diagram, Competitor Analysis, Thematic Network, Persona and User journey, etc.

Thematic Network & Content-strategy Rest at ease Travellers must be alert at all times, and many factors may affect passengers' feelings and experiences. The impact factors can be divided into four main points: property and personal safety, psychological barriers, personal privacy and fatigue. Travel represents "feeling cultural differences and new knowledge", but this intention needs to be based on the underlying needs of "easy and less burden".
Comfortable experience A relaxing and enjoyable trip is what every traveler pursues, expecting a break from rest and energy. Today's flight culture is based on convenience. The cost of a comfortable experience often costs a lot of money, so that most passengers put up with uncomfortable environment and product services, consuming more time and physical strength, and increasing the fatigue in travel.
Planned journey Unexpected situations or inadequate preparations affect the itinerary, which is undesirable for travellers. "Don't want to waste unnecessary time" and "improve the smoothness of the trip", passengers usually prepare a lot of preparations in advance, do everything possible to eliminate any factors that may affect the journey, and make corresponding decisions. Everyone expects every trip to be smooth, safety, and memorable for taking a break.

Airport sleeping cart system "Sleep Nomad" is a resting service systems and new business models that provide travelers with a break overnight in airport. This service system divided into two parts, Landside and Airside area. providing affordable services to meet the basic needs, and services travelers in any urgent situation.

Do obeisance a technology grant, people travel a lot between countries. But the lack of resting facilities, the high payment of good resting facilities are the results why passengers cannot get proper rest, increase the tire of trip. "Sleep nomad" is made up of improved luggage carts, with rental bedding to achieve the rest and overnight needs. The rental process only use app and QR code to complete the lease, return, view and credit card payment, so that it more common, convenient and fast.

Petstation Concept Design in 2015
Petstation is a smart and interactive device that takes a good care of pets remotely for pet owners when they leave home for a long period of time. Connecting with mobile device, Petstation uses remote control to supply pets with food and water. Its online video and simple interactive games satisfy pets both with physical and psychological demands.

Petstation The smooth ABS surface of Petstaion furnishes with pet-friendly appearance and simple visual style. Pets have a feeling of companion in the night through thewarm light emitted from lower outlet. The upper half of Petstation divided into two segments as reservoir of food and water respectively. Pet owners can replenishabundant food and water from the top and simply set up appropriate time and feeding quantity for pets through mobile APP designed with interesting and dynamic icons.

A suction pad located under the dinner plate is used to fix the plate position and avoid dislocation caused by pet’s movement. Two areas are arranged in the plate to separate food and water supply. The food area is higher to isolate water and keep food dryness. Its indent side is especially convenient for pets to bend their head during meals.

Petstation achieves various functions setup by mobile APP where main page presents the concept of pet-centered design including versatile living demand for pets. The lower page shows real-time interface of feeding selection and quick inquiry. Other functions are also provided such as interactive game, normal video, photo upload and connection with pet communities. It actually plays as a total platform of taking care of pets and let owners naturally interact with their pets in dailt relaxations.

Petstaion can be expanded as a base and installed at public space or famous landmark near community. This design concept switches remote interaction focus to a convenient and feeding-oriented purpose instead. Its architecture forms a similat DNA of household Petstation to respond to the attractive appearance that provides pets with familiar image and memory. Members of this Petstation base can link their relevant feeding data as reference through online synchronization when they take their pets to this base.
The food and drink selection is performed and charged based on registered records. Windows located at the top of the base takes advantage of natural lighting and the center area provides pets and their owners with a good place of social connection.
In summary, the Petstation base solves pet owners’ problem of long-period home leaving without giving trouble to others.Food and water supply for several days are no longer worry to pet owners. Futhermore, the Petstation base offers a great opportunity to pet owners to have a vacation with their lovely pets without inconvenient and bother some preparation of pet food and water.
