PRE & POST COVID MODEL Left side of the drawings represent the interpretation of PreCOVID situation of our sites , the Bangsar Sports Centre and The Bukit Kiara Parks from Sports and Recreation activities categories and the one on the right side shows our interpretation on the current situation in our sites representing the sports and recreation condition in our country, Malaysia. Our 2 drawings can be combined to show the big trees, the greens, the roots and we hope to share the beauty of nature we enjoyed throughout the site visits. The 2 sites of ours is actually the important spot for the local neighbourhood to carry out their favorite sports activities Bangsar Sports Complex fulfill the needs of the local neighbourhood for courts or facilities type sports activities while Bukit Kiara Parks is a hill serving several functions from sports to recreation or bonding activities such as picnic. Besides that Bukit Kiara Hills not just fullfill the needs of local neighbourhood but also cater the needs of the joggers, hiker to cyclist from whole Kuala Lumpur state covering from beginner to advance levels.

POST COVID INTERVENTION MODEL After a series of surveys, site visit and interviews, we decided to make our intervention more towards the Family Parks of Bukit Kiara Hills because we found out that visiting the park is now a new favourite for all age groups after the pandemic hits. The people visiting Bukit Kiara Hills for hiking and hill walks actually decreased but the people visiting the park increased drastically so we decided to plan some changes and intervention for the parks to increase the usage while still following the SOP requirements.

ROOF FORM
ROOF STRUCTURE WITH CONTEXT
THE ROOF FORM IS BASED ON THE EXISTING STRUCTURE BUT FOLLOWS THE BUILDING FORM WHICH IS MORE CURVED. THIS GIVES AN INTERESTING FORM AND ALSO ALLOWS VENTILATION TO GO THROUGH THE BUILDING
72
THIS STRUCTURE HELPS TO HAVE A OVERALL VENTILATED BUILDING AND THE ROOF STRUCTURE ALSO HAS RESEMBELANCE WITH THE EXSISTING ROOF STRUCTURES IN SENTUL DEPOT
THE ROOF IS MADE OF GLAVINIZED STEEL WITH STEEL SUPPORTING STRUCTURES
PROJECT 03 - SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL CENTER
73
FACADE
THE EXISTING DEPOT SITE IS SUPPORTED BY REPETITIVE STEEL COLUMNS GIVING A VERY UNIQUE VIEW
PARAMETRIC SHAPE OF FACADE FOLLOWING NEW PROPOSED BUILDING
74
THE FACADE IS LOUVERS MADE FROM STEEL, WHICH FOLLOWS THE EXISTING STRUCTURE MATERIALS.
THE FACADE HELPS THE BUILDING TO BE SHADED STILL ALLOWS WIND TO PASS AND VENTILATE THE BUILDING. IT ALSO PROVIES PRIVACY BY BLOCKING VIEW INTO THE BUILDING FROM FEW SIDES
PROJECT 03 - SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL CENTER
75
COVID-19 INTERVENTIONS
SOCIAL DISTANCING IS IN PLACE AT THE SPORTS COMPLEX TO ENSURE SAFETY OF USERES ALONG WITH USING BRIGHT TAPES TO INDICATE NO GO ZONE.
IN THE NEW BUILDING THE ACTIVITIES SUCH AS BADMINTON AND TABLE TENNIS ARE DIVIDED BY FOLDABLE PARTITION WALLS. WHICH ARE OPENED AND CLOSED AS THE USER WISHES.
76
THE IDEA IS TO USE LANDSCAPE TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM GATHERING IN ONE PLACE AND ALSO DIVIDES THE SPACES AND ACTIVITES
THE HIGH CEILING IN THE DEPOT SIDE GIVES SPACES FOR VEGETATION AND WITH DIVIDING SPACES, THEY ALSO HELP IMPROVE THE GENERAL AIR VENTILATION IN THE BUILDING
