onth after month, following the spread of the financial and economic crisis worldwide, real estate is more than ever the sector where to invest, as a secured haven… We actively attended to the major international real estate conventions last autumn, from San Diego (California), Thessalonica and Brussels up to Macau, and very lately on December 7-8 in Paris, for the international convention organized during the FNAIM congress, which did welcome professional delegates from 29 different countries. Meeting in various workshops, we devised on the international real estate markets and their respective future. Everyone felt reasonably optimistic as the sector is recovering and even improving worldwide – especially since the sales significantly went up anew in the United States, the place itself where the crisis originated. At the same time, Dubai announced suddenly that the bankruptcy was looming. There is a drastic need for fresh money not to stop for good the construction activity on those gigantic estate developments which easily compare with ancient pharaoh projects, on a land where everything is illusion. This situation can only remind us of the three golden rules in real estate investment: 1 the location first, 2 the location again, 3 the location finally! But those

At the CREMF (China Real Estate Forum) in Macau At the same time, September 10 to 13, Michel, representing 107 Promenade Real Estate Agency in the South and South East of Asia, was invited to attend the CREMF (China Real Estate Forum) of Macao as guest speaker. This event, together with the adjacent International and Investment Fair gathered about 1,000 real estate professionals and investors from all over the various provinces of China, plus a significant number of foreigners too. « Quite quickly, since the Friday afternoon, everybody was rejoicing, said Michel, after the evocation, well supported by official data, of the positive sales in number of properties, increase of unit prices and turnover of the main developers in China first of all by also elsewhere in the region, Singapore included. » The result after 4 days of convention was new contacts in Macau, Singapore, Hong-Kong, Beijing, Guangdong and Bangkok, on top of all the friendly connections already established with many realtors and federations in the Region. For the Promenade des Anglais, turned nowadays into a raging urban highway, a development contest was initiated last falls by the City Hall: the best developers, architects and urban engineering teams in the World are now competing to propose the best projects to uplift what is known to be the « pear l nec klace » of the capital city of the Frenc h Riviera. The City Hall will name the winning team not later than early 2010.
