EDITORIAL Hello readers, Summer is here and with all those hot days ahead wouldn’t it be great to be able to organize your days out without taking up too much of your valuable time…. July’s edition of “The Big W” will be doing just that for you. This fantastic monthly guide is distributed every week, covering the whole of Canterbury and further afield. After extensive research and some great feedback we have tried to include and cover as much as possible so you can plan your days out in no time. As most of you reading this guide probably live in Kent, you already know there are loads of family friendly places to visit, but it is so much easier to decide where to go with them all listed in front of you. For this reason we decided to set this guide up, to make your life easier. Once you get familiar with the guide you will see we not only list the day to day events, but also most of the family friendly places to visit, which open all year round. We have visited most of them and will be giving you a full rundown on a different one each month. With this guide our aim is to support and promote local businesses in Canterbury & the surrounding areas so any suggestions or comments are always welcome. We hope you find this edition as useful as all future ones. Please remember to keep it handy always, so now its time to go and get yourself a coffee, sit down, relax and plan your days ahead. Thank you, The Editors, Natalia Corbella & Kevin Norris

MARKETS & CAR BOOT SALES CANTERBURY & KENT There is nothing like a good old car boot sale on a hot summers day. You can either go and hunt for some great bargains for your home or you can go up in the loft, have a clearout, get yourself down there and start selling. My problem is when I go to sell in a car boot sale, I end up going home with more items than I went in with! I can’t resist a bargain. How does the saying go…”One mans junk is another mans treasure” Oh, and don’t forget to have a look at the market listings, these range from food to clothes stalls & more.

KENT COASTLINE The coastline in Kent is the longest in England and offers the most variety, wonderful cliffs, international ports, popular holiday hang outs and lovely harbours. With all this and the choice of beautiful sandy beaches or shingle bays it is no wonder people come to visit the Kent coastline. It’s easy access to Europe and location in the south east of England definitely has an impact on the weather and more often than not you can enjoy some great sunny days lounging on the beaches of Kent. In every edition we will be talking about one of Kent’s coastal towns in more detail. In August, Ramsgate is the topic, so if you would like to add something about Ramsgate please contact us.
