AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion or national/ social origin. In order to address the world’s leadership gap, AIESEC is offering the world’s most advanced leadership framework for young people, by providing young people with hands-on experiences as well as providing spaces to reflect on these experiences, learn from them, and through them become better leaders. Since we were founded, we have engaged and developed over 1,000,000 young people who have been through an AIESEC experience. The impact of our organization can be seen through our alumni who represent business, NGO and world leaders, including one Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Maarti Atisaari of Finland. Our Vision is Peace and Fulfillment of humankind’s potential. YouthSpeak Forum YouthSpeak Forum is a premiere event powered by AIESEC that brings together both young and senior leaders to form a diverse cross-sector and multigenerational space for inspiring conversations around pressing global issues. The forum aims to create an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can cross-pollinate ideas, share insights and gain new perspectives to create actionable outcomes to push the world forward. Leaders will be able to access youth who offer valuable insights into the present state, and what the future may look like based on the leadership and behaviors of the next generation. Come ready with your biggest problems, and seek for inspiration to solutions!
It’s an environment that helps foster fresh creativity and new perspectives to tackling problems, and by challenging you and present status quo it will help inspire the creation of your next big idea.
Unlike any other forum, YouthSpeak is mainly focused on creating action steps following the conversations, rather than just talking about pressing social issues. We make this happen by taking our participants through the unique and interactive frame work of Inspire, Unearth, Shape. East African YouthSpeak Forum 2015 Theme:

The sharp evolution of the world particularly in the 21st century and the stare of the post 2015 Agenda of the UN has ushered in relatively significant changes and means to creating a more promising future. While the retirement of the generation is creating opportunities and capabilities of the youth in meeting tomorrow’s challenges. Young people in tertiary schools are the most prominent future leaders of tomorrow but their readiness is highly questioned in the face of what posterity beckons.

Top Organizational leaders from across sectors in Ethiopia are invited to share their knowledge with the delegates about the chosen forum theme. This section of the day is delivered through short and powerful “SHAPING THE FUTURE� therefore brings a lot of light and talks and aims to inspire delegates clarity to the Youth and serves to hand a strong sense of and help to form their opinions for ownership on what means and minimums to adopt in the rest of the day steering their future in the right direction.
