COMPONENT 2

The space I picked is a green space in Dagenham. It is close by to the station, allowing it's easy for people to access. There are also many bus stops nearby. In the surrounding spaces there are new housing and activity centers. Many local schools in the area, therefore a lot of children. Not too far from location, there is a leisure center for swimming, with a gym and many other classes. There is Heathway shopping center nearby to my site where there are a strip of shops.
My site, is a theatre, I believe this will be beneficial around Dagenham as it bring is an attraction to the small city. It will also provide actives for the youth and adults in the nearby area. I have decided to build my site on a green area nearby to a river stream and new housing, with a park at the back. The theatre is an attraction which will be able to bring the community together.
Will include:
Wheelchair access
Café Canteen
Parking
-Parks
-Shopping
-Schools
Using my primary research picture, I have gone on to draw sketches of potential designs of my site
I have used scrapes to create an idea for my model, later sketches out developed ideas
I liked the theme of the triangles as it remindes me of my tessellation theme, so I therefor incorporated it into my models and sketches

This is the interior of the Theatre Agora theatre; I have chosen this theatre as the geometric interior goes along side my theme of tessellation.

My chose of the Kaufman centre has inspired my site, with the repetition of the same shape which gives it a unique look to the building
The interior of the theatre shows me how to make use of the space, the circular ceneter gives it a hollow look, causing it to seem bigger than it may be
I sketched a range of different drawing on how I was going to display my final model, I made developments to the drawings to see what suits best.
I believe a key step in making my model, is creating a mini model to see what the outcome would be and if I came across any obstacles how I would overcome them. The mini model allowed me to see the vision of my model and develop it.
My site has been created on 2D design to print on the laser cutter, using materials plywood, card and acrylic
I HAVE PUT MY SITE IN CONTEXT
