What This Means… * This is a legal distinction to enable CCS to better meet the need: Feeding more children and families through downtown pantry and distribution partners.  CCS continues growth with CDPs (community distribution partners)  Strengthens relationship with the North Texas Food Bank  Opens new opportunities for funding streams outside of FirstChurch  Strategizes to create "hub & spoke”s throughout the NTFB network Through these doors the church goes to engage the world.

What This Doesn’t Mean…   

that FUMC doesn’t ‘care’ about the hungry in Dallas. that support (individual’s financial or volunteer) wanes. that FUMC is finished in our advocacy to nourish our hungry neighbors.

Through these doors the church goes to engage the world.

Some Notable Changes    

Rev. Jay Cole will be appointed solely to CCS, starting July 1, 2015. CCS would move into space funded by resource streams yet untapped. Hunger rates in North Texas would decrease. A more vibrant city because of full stomachs and thankful hearts.
