LUBRICATION

Adequatelubricationandmaintenanceonaregular scheduleisvitaltomaintainingyourequipment.To ensurelongserviceandefficientoperation,followthe lubricationandmaintenanceschedulesoutlinedin thismanual.Theuseofproperfuels,oils,greaseand filters,aswellaskeeping thesystemsclean,willalso extendmachineandcomponentlife.

IMPORTANT: Alwaysusegenuine NewHolland replacementparts,oilsandfilterstoensureproper operation,filtrationof engineandhydraulicsystems. Seeyour NewHolland dealerforadditionaloil quantities.

GENERALINFORMATION

Regularlubricationisthebestinsuranceagainst delaysandrepairs.Properlubricationwillextend machinelife.Refertothefollowingchartsfor lubricantsandserviceintervals.

IMPORTANT: Failuretocompletetherequired maintenanceattherecommendedintervalscan causeunnecessarydowntime.

TheintervalslistedintheLubricationChartare guidelinestobeusedwhenoperatinginnormal conditions.Adjusttheintervalsforoperatingin adverseenvironmentalandworkingconditions.The intervalsshouldbeshortenedforsandy,dustyand extremelyhotoperatingconditions.

CAUTION

Observethefollowingsafetyprecautionsbefore performinganylubricationormaintenance:

--Shutoffengine.

--Disengagealldrives.

--Engageparkbrake.

--Lowerallattachmentstothegroundorraise andengageallsafetylocks.

--Closeallshieldsthatareopenedandreinstall anyshieldsremovedforlubricationand maintenancepurposes.

Failuretocomplymayresultinminoror moderateinjury.

CAUTION

Someillustrationsinthismanualshowshields openedorremovedtodisplayareasbeing serviced.Replaceallshieldsbeforeoperating themachine.Failuretocomplycouldresultin deathorseriousinjury.
