Inside Flows lecture and launch of Woodguide.org by Jan Jongert and Lizanne Dirkx at the Hotspot Circular Economy The official launch of the woodguide.org web platform is part of a BNi presentation on designing with flows. Woodguide.org is an online tool to help designers and woodworkers make sustainable choices. Woodguide.org is created by a succesful collaboration with Upstyle Industries. INSIDEflows is the Superuse Studios's lectorship at the KABK. The researchgroup develops knowledge and tools to gain maximum profit of flows like energy, material, water, money and users in buildings.

Waste: Presentation by Césare Peeren SYMPOSIUM & BOOK LAUNCH SOCIAL DESIGN. Looks Good Feels Good Is Good Since 1991 Jan Jongert and Césare Peeren have been developing their vision and tools to design a sustainable world; a cyclical world as found in nature. Césare Peeren will speak on how this vision has developed over the years at the presentation of Anne van der Zwaags book on Social Design. He will describe how 2012Architecten (now Superuse Studios) started with architecture and design from waste materials, and evolved to now designing and transforming products, buildings and entire districts not only from waste flows but from a range of identified physical, material and energetic flows.

Upstyling chipboard One of the major streams of residual materials from thrift shops is chipboard. Upstyle Industries and Superuse Studios have accepted the challenge and have designed and produced affordable furniture from this low­grade material stream. In this exhibition both research and results will be displayed.

Upstyle Industries and Superuse Studios have worked together on the third web platform in a series to simplify the reuse of materials.

Woodguide.org shows designers and makers sustainable considerations when choosing type, processing and finishing of wood working materials. Woodguide.org brings Harvestmap.org and Superuse.org together as part of a series of online platforms where knowledge source, processing and use of residual material is shared, such that material reuse may increasingly compete with the choice for new.

The research and the realizationof the web platforms superuse.org, oogstkaart.nl and woodguide.org are financially supported by Stichting Doen.

Superuse Studios designs products and buildings and develops strategies to facilitate the transition to a sustainable society. The work of Superuse Studios shows that waste streams and limited resources are an opportunity for innovative design.
