Inside the mind of...
Heather Go Psycho
H
eather Go Psycho, an all girl band from San Antonio that brings the house down every time they perform. With songs like “ Rag Doll “ and “ Boy Eats Girl “ the crowd comes alive and moshing begins. Their pretty faces are very deceiving. When you see these girls throw down evil riffs and hear zombie horror movie like screams, you will know these are not your typical “girls from next door.” 21inSA was able to sit down with the girls and asked some questions about the band, the local community and the future of Heather Go Psycho.

Band of the Month
Q. When did the group come together and decide to start a band? A. We formed as a three piece girl band in December 2005 and Played Our first show @ Café Revolution in March 2006. All three of us were previously in other bands and didn’t meet the expectations and needs we were all looking for. So, eventually all of us met and we all found out that we have the same love and Interest for music. Plus we all get each other so that’s a good thing. Q. How did the name “Heather Go Psycho” come about? A. Well, we use to have this jamm spot @ Our friend Ralph’s house and he had a roommate named Heather. Every time She would hear our Music she would go psycho and throw dishes on the floor telling us to stop Playing But she was always there at every show with her Hand made t-shirt on rooting for us. It was Pretty Crazy…..Or Psycho Should we say. We also like to Bull shit With the Following: we got it from the movie “Heathers”. Jackee‘s Middle Name is Heather. Diana first dog’s name was “ Pinche Heather”. Cristal got in her first fight with a Girl Named ‘Heather’(Kindergarten, Heather didn’t want to share her Crayola Markers) And Our Personal Favorite…. Because Heather Go Psycho wasn’t Taken When We Googled It!!!Yay!!!

Top 21 BANDS
an Antonio has very talented and creative bands. For the past couple of years, there have been some really good bands that have emerged and have made their mark on the local scene. Not only is it difďŹ cult to have a good sounding band, just getting gigs is hard to do in San Antonio. (I) hate to say it but cover bands seem to get more respect from venues. 21inSA.com will be ranking bands every month. Rankings are based upon popularity, originality, longevity and merchandising. We focus on bands that have been playing since 2006 to present.
