Dinosaurs were a major form of life on earth for millions of years, until about 65 million years ago Youcatan peninsula asteroid hit. And the rest is history. The dominant form of life on planet earth for millions years became extinct. Our planet has a history of killing. In fact, over 99% of all species that have ever roamed on the earth have gone extinct. We are a pest. And it’s a matter of time, before the sixth major mass extinction comes along to terminate the mother earth’s latest infestation Earth is near main asteroid belt. Despite of climate change there are other reasons for human being to extinct. In 2018, a meteorite had crossed earth very closely. Luckily it didn’t hit us! But who knows? The next one might! Here comes the idea of expanding life behind earth. Best way to live on other planet is terraforming and turning the planet into a habitable one for humans. But that is far beyond our recent technology. Before that only way to live on other planet like Mars or in our own Lunar is to make an enclosure to be protected from the radiation. Because Moon or Mars doesn’t have any atmosphere or radiation shield like earth. If you have a closer look to the multiple lunar and mars proposed habitats, you have to live and work in a closed environment. Every time you go outside you have to suit up. And also when we’ll start to live in mars or lunar habitats, we have to send human on a regular basis. This project is a proposed station for that time from where human will be sent to expand life and station will be used as an intermediate space for future missions, training, and research on partial gravity!

In 20th July, 1969, human step was drawn for the first time on the Moon, proving that we have immense possibilities outside earth. This started a new era. .In the first phase, space program was basically a cold war between space research agencies . This was called space race one. And the consequence was moon landing If we think about recent time, a space race is still going on. Multiple private companies like Spacex, virgin Galactic, Blue origin , rocket lab are showing interest on space exploration .SpaceX have already developed reusable rockets and they are working on starship (which is designed for Mars colonization ,Earth–lunar transport space tourism ) . Virgin Galactic is also focusing on space tourism. BLUE ORIGIN is developing reusable rocket and Blue moon .Now we are calling it space race 2.0. And we can say that, the vision of current space race is quite clear to us. It is to set our footprint on our red little neighbor -MARS . The concept of space travel requires preparation, training and adaptation. As a part of this the site and outcome of this particular project will be used for refueling , training, staging and research.

Considerations behind this selection process: 1. solar radiation: The higher we go the solar radiation increases. 2. Distance factor : The higher we go, the easier it becomes to send people on moon or mars. Considering these conditions the site is chosen at the altitude 1500 km from sea level and orbital inclination of 23.4 Degree. Ecliptic plane is selected to access trans-Lunar and trans-Mars orbits.

The centrifugal acceleration is related to angular velocity and radius of rotation. Lower angular velocity is preferred as higher angular velocity might create discomfort like motion sickness , Coriolis effect. However recent experiments suggests that human is capable of adapting higher angular velocity like 4 or even 6 RPM.

Bone Loss
As, we are willing to send mass people , it’s important to focus on the health issues related to zero gravity. That’s why artificial gravity is mandatory for future space Stations. Despite of many theory of artificial gravity , the only proven physics is rotation. When a particle is in a circular motion a centripetal force is produced. In a stable system a centrifugal force works in the opposite direction to create balance. This opposing force can work as Gravity.

Gravity is what keeps us held to the surface of earth and provides the sense of up and down . When a satellite or space station orbit the earth ,the force of gravity precisely cancels out with the centrifugal force (if any artificial force is not applied). Astronauts of International space station do their activity in zero gravity . But, there are some problems in this system that requires attention. Many biological functions of our body are hardwired for the gravity . In zero gravity the standing posture and skeletal support are no longer used and thus atrophy losing up to 20% of their mass after a week. Astronauts of ISS need to exercise for at least two hours every day to combat this muscle loss but without gravity our bones also wither. Astronauts lose 1% of their bone mass each month. The breakdown of bone within our body saturates ourselves with calcium leading to dangerous calcification of soft tissues.

While designing the micro-spaces inside the module, there are some considerations 1. The radius from the center decreases from bottom to top level. 2. The gravity also decreases along with the value of radial distance. The floors placed in the module are affected by these events. When someone walks from west to east (in this hypothetical framework) the Coriolis effect is added with the centripetal acceleration. Thus increasing the total apparent gravity. This effect will be opposite if someone walks in the reverse direction. As the North-South direction is parallel to the axis of rotation, this direction is free from this special condition.

Have you thought about what will happen to this Dhaka City after half century? Most obvious answer is we have thought about our aim or where do we want to see ourselves after a certain point. But have we thought about the environment where we are going to live in? No? The state of the environment will not be the same after 50 years. The pollution will increase, earthquake will visit more frequently, the weather will change to a great extent, the temperature will be increased so on. But mostly people will suffer with shortage of land to live in. The buildings are not designed to habitat a large number of people. We will always have the sky to rise. Most of the current buildings are low in height which does not utilize the available upper space. Another important thing is to keep in mind that the air conditioners are diffusing CFC gases which are very dangerous for the ozon layer and also for our environment. So we have to think for the people and make sure they get a place to live in. The most efficient solution is to build high rise buildings where small amount of land can give shelter to a huge number of people comparatively. Another problems remains with the global warming. We have to stay cool and stop the warming and harmful effect of the air conditioner. Can we do that? If we can then how can we do that? Yes. Let's design the building with a good ventilation system which will provide natural air all the time and reduce the use of air conditioner.

This station named after visionary American aerospace engineer and futurist – Dandridge MacFarland Cole. In his book ‘Exploring the Secrets of Space: Astronautics for the Layman’ with I. M. Levitt suggested hollowing out an ellipsoidal asteroid about 30 km long, and rotating it about its major axis to simulate gravity.

The idea is to build a space station without sending materials from Earth. In this process, the robots sent from Earth will extract metals and create cavities into the surface. At an early stage, thousands of robots will be sent to the designated asteroid, "216 Kleopatra". 216 Kleopatra is a metallic, ham-bone-shaped asteroid and trinary system orbiting in the central region of the asteroid belt, approximately 138 kilometers (86 miles) in diameter. The robots will mine in the inner layer and soon will create a porous situation like the inner part of ant colonies. Later these cavities will be used for habitation. The mined materials will be used for 3D printing and the rest will be sent to the earth. Then a core in the center will be built from the material extracted from the asteroid. The core will rotate the whole asteroid in its axis and will create artificial gravity. Future mining missions in near asteroids will be controlled from the station and extracted materials will be sent to Earth and Mars Colonies. The station will also be used for future missions, training, and research on partial gravity. At the early stage, the space station will serve as a temporary habitation space for the miners. After expansion work, it will be a permanent colony for millions of people.
At this stage, astronauts, and miners will do their activities in microgravity. There will be a Bioregenerative Life Support System (BLSS). It will provide a habitation environment similar to the Earth's biosphere with extended durations.
Mining robots and 3D printers will be sent to the 216 Kleopatra. Robots will start mining and extract material for 3D printing. Extracting material according to functional arrangements will create cavities for the first minors. Later robots will start to create interior walls from extracted metals.

HOW CAN WE BUILD AN ORBITAL UNIVERSITY? Arranged By
Ěž Č? ČŽ Oct2020 "I choose to go to the Moon, with artists. If Pablo Picasso had been able to see the Moon up-close, what kind of paintings would he have drawn? If John Lennon could have seen the curvature of the Earth, what kind of songs would he have written? If they had gone to space, how would the world have looked today? People are creative and have a great imagination. We all have the ability to dream dreams that have never been dreamt, to sing songs that have never been sung, to paint that which has never been seen before." #dearMoon Project Host Curator Yusaku Maezawa There are so many questions we would love to answer. But as we seek for them, we realize we are limited to our bodies, our minds and ourselves. To cross this hurdle, we have built orbital university to gather connectivity and collectiveness. What if this orbital university becomes the university of all universities? What if we decide to go beyond our drawn boundary lines and choose to find the spirit of this whole planet? What if we learn to grow and let others grow universally under the same platform we created here? We should catch the dreams of all eager learners beyond the boundaries of nation, profession and moderation. We should let learners be part of this beautiful collaboration to have a wider perspective, to have brighter ideas and to open doors for all who dreams of drawing a future!

The serene castles are some of those notable gothic ruins that tell us about surviving time’s passage and create an aura of ‘timelessness’. The agony of lost Proteus
Debashish Roy portfolio 34
The Agony of Lost Proteus 11 years 10 days in Proteus Relative Earth time 15 July 2195 The journey has been long-drawn-out, too long that the fright of losing the self, after the ultimate defeat has dwindled. This moment marks the cessation and heading towards a decisive eternity. The melancholy of the delusional past and present might get lost amid the uncertain future over time. If not, it might get dismantled, and the agony of a defeated soul will remain unheeded. I am leaving a memorandum of the long-gone chronology as the inscriptions might someday reveal the darkness of humans. The dark truth, the evils intend to erase from my memory, our mind. The initiation demands beginning from the dot, but what if it starts with an undefined ending? What if it was the epilogue? I don't know! No one does ever! It all started around 2030, approximately twenty decades back when humans stepped towards inhabiting outside for a convalescent existence. Nothing rose and shone overnight; instead, they endured countless toilsome days to make them better- than ever before and anyone else! Either those lives had to embrace horrendous consequences like death or flourish their adaptive skills- there was no in-between. Being the best creatures of the creation, they chose to live, to thrive. Initially, the survival pivoted on the provided resources and support for evolution, which would accelerate the struggle. Contrarily intergalactic trade and commerce were unveiling the horizon of a blooming eon. But at the same time, hostilities sparked amid the two races. The evolved ones could sense the growing discordance of not responding to the Martian's howl. The final blow came, somewhat around 2070, with gruesome World War III raging over the whole planet Earth like a Cancer Cell. Neither the leaders nor the mass was sewed-up for the trenchant brutality of the war. The loss of lives and properties were more significant than any other previous history escorted with desolation and emptiness everywhere. The miles after miles of empty country roads seemed to indulge in planning against humans with a new death device. Even to mention, the war was to evoke the period when human civilization entered the darkest, bloodiest chapter with mass poverty, violent extremism. Terrestrial people who had been to Mars for priming out their knowledge got plunged and could not return again. The conflict between these two planets asserting their identity turned violent, the risk was high that it would no longer be a dispute over the terms and conditions of cohabitation but become a struggle whose aim would be to address them as each other's enemy. The conveyance between Earth and Mars came to a standstill portraying that the human aggression would not necessarily end with the signing of peace accords; instead, the tension will prevail between the two planets with subsequent damages. Both worlds were on the verge of despoliation, but unfortunately, the Martians could sight their vulnerability and subordination before yielding to the Earthians. Little did they know, they would manifest a vigorous journey with at least a progression of five hundred years compared to the Earth. Intergalactic knowledge with nano-detailed mechanical swotting made them conquistador of the perpetuity. On the contrary, Mother earth was lagging like a sloth with gruesome post-war dissension and ceaseless anarchy. There was a dodgy aura hovering over the race filled with agitation, wail, and ambiguity, whereas the Martians were way ahead of time with the modern contrivance. From replacing body organs with hi-tech and automated robotics to revamping the overall body morphology and instigating Hydroponic Agriculture in that hostile territory, this very race set a precedent of unrivalled prosperity. As the number of Mars residents escalated at a prodigious rate and the resources dwindled contrarily, they started anticipating another tenantable orb to live excellently. At times, I feel I was born under one lucky star to behold the evocation of such chronicle; otherwise, how would I outstretch to the people from the ensuing timeline? As time went by, the dire want of recreating an earth-like livable environment was failing terribly. The pull in the resources of the dependencies of life flashed fear amongst the Martians. They realized their time in the red world must come to an end soon. I was a part of the team, researching the nearest habitable planet when we clicked into the Proxima Centauri B. The team sweat blood, to plan the ultimate voyage and free humans from uprooting. Thus, came into being, the chef-d'oeuvre of all time, 'Project Proteus.' The research led to many possible answers, but the implementation was still blear! The journey to success still required the contrivance of massive theories. The scarcity of energy was whirling up to higher extends at one end, and on the other, it was getting challenging to build a craft that would match the speed of light. What seemed impossible for years of research, saw the light of hope mainly after one of the great Martian scientists, working for better living of the colony, Dr. Axon, invented the particle Aetriox ll. Colliding the Aetriox ll in extremely high energy, he succeeded in creating the black hole. The entire Martian colony was able to run on its massive power till the last. My team succeeded in modifying the produced black holes using the Aetriox ll, and the result was the mighty carriage. The gamma-ray eliminated from the solar panels were run through continuous collisions with Aetriox ll within the created black holes. The starship achieved 80% speed of light with precise calculations, which ensured the travel time of fewer than 12 years towards the new Home, the closest exoplanet Proxima Centauri B. The research den 'Titan' being encompassed with the assemblage of the stellar particle could quickly transmute the rays into a focal point to erect the trillionth-measured black holes. Needless to say that, we were marching towards redemption hence fabricated a cybernetic brain called Galactica, which was prevalent for everyone with a dynamic abundance. The Martians with new hope in heart prepped for the earliest voyage with the Proteus, but there was something else being planned to pull us down. In the dark year of 2165, the terrain dwellers ambushed us to invade our hard-earned progression 'Proteus.' The seven-week-long sanguinary war left no stone unturned to wreck us, and it was the fifth week when our whole dominion turned into obliteration. We might have exceeded them with our vast expertise but never intended to get involved in the assassination that too for power. We were incarcerated and seized by the terrestrial empire, which initiated the blooming era for mother Earth or at least for its residing evils. The pen failed to prove its might in front of the sword. But the eminence they had achieved was nothing but the upshot of their torment, and I still can hear the wounded yowling. Again, the sinister of the terrestrial empire took over us, destroying everything we had ever worked for. We were captured and imprisoned into the ship, which they had the eyes on. It was the dawn for the living age of Mother Earth. All its glory became a distant echo of the past. I am one of the unlucky pawns they mercied life on, only to kill every day. They needed us to give the blow to their strategy. Since then, my fellow mates and I were tortured to live for developing our "Project Proteus" to their interest. The mighty carriage of the ultimate voyage now seems to be my captive ship, in which they are taking us along, only to kill off the moment they reach our excellence. With the destination nearing, my end is around the corner as well. The fright, the shame of living under slavery, will soon come to an end. It took me an entire duodecennial to pen everything down. My Martians deserve to be in the history, they deserve to be recalled as the heroes the universe needed. This is the one last hymn of this defeated soldier before turning into rust and stardust.
