He speaks to the audience MAN They met me in the day of success; and I have learn’d by the perfect’st report, they have more in them than mortal knowledge. When I burnt in desire to question them further, they made themselves air, into which they vanish’d. WOMAN What?

MAN & WOMAN
 “Hail, King that shalt be!” MAN This have I thought good to deliver thee…. My dearest partner of greatness– WOMAN Awww, babe. MAN
 –that thou might’st not lose the dues of rejoicing by being ignorant of what greatness is promis’d thee. Lay it to thy heart, and– MAN & WOMAN farewell. A beat. She thinks. thinks more. LADY M
 Glamis thou art, and Cawdor; and shalt be
 What thou art promised: yet do I fear thy nature;
 It is too full o' the milk of human kindness
 To catch the nearest way: thou wouldst be great;
 Art not without ambition, but without
 The illness should attend it: what thou wouldst highly,
 That wouldst thou holily; wouldst not play false,
 And yet wouldst wrongly win: thou'ldst have, great Glamis,

That which cries 'Thus thou must do, if thou have it;
 And that which rather thou dost fear to do
 Than wishest should be undone.

The MAN plays A chord. C Major

Hie thee hither,
 That I may pour my spirits in thine ear;

another chord. G Major

And chastise thee with the valour of my tongue

All that impedes thee from the golden round

Which fate and metaphysical aid doth seem

To have thee crown'd withal.

She launches them a Capella into RIVER DEEP MOUNTAIN HIGH. VERSE C Maj C Maj

 Only doll I ever owned

Let’s do it. Let’s do it. Let’s do it–– Music gives way. The raven himself is hoarse
 That croaks the fatal entrance of Duncan
 Under my battlements. Come, you spirits
 That tend on mortal thoughts
 Unsex me here. A glimmer from the bass and guitar. Eb minor
 And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full
 Of direst cruelty! make thick my blood; More sound. subtle. Underscoring and supporting the text.
 Stop up the access and passage to remorse,
 That no compunctious visitings of nature
 Shake my fell purpose, nor keep peace between
 The effect and it! More sound.
 Come to my woman's breasts,
 And take my milk for gall, you murdering ministers, Wherever in your sightless substances
 You wait on nature's mischief! Come, thick night, And pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell,
 That my keen knife see not the wound it makes,
 Nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark,
 To cry 'Hold, hold!' She repeats and ad libs on “Hold” as they all lurch up to play TINA’S WISH. Eb minor LADY M
 I’m talking to the priest, the high priest and all of you out there.

If what I am saying is wrong, then lord please tell me the right way to say it.

 But in my heart, let beauty reign
 And when I'm done, I wanna have fame Lord make me nice, Lord make me good

I wanna be desirable.... Voluptuous.... tantalizing

Hey Lord......

This last vocalization of “Hey Lord” rings out a little too long. She is moved by something that we can’t quite see yet.

MAN
 This supernatural soliciting
 Cannot be ill; cannot be good. If ill,
 Why hath it given me earnest of success, Commencing in a truth? I am Thane of Cawdor. WOMAN Yes you are babe. MAN If good, why do I yield to that suggestion Whose horrid image doth unfix my hair
 And make my seated heart knock at my ribs, Against the use of nature? Present fears
 Are less than horrible imaginings:
 My thought, whose murder yet is but fantastical, Shakes so my single state of man that function Is smother’d in surmise, and nothing is
 But what is not. She sings again. Rallying.

 The future in the instant.
