SouthCoast Organization To Hold Annual Event On The Westport River

The Westport River Watershed Alliance (WRWA) will hold its annual Summer Gala on Saturday, August 12, from 5–8 p.m. on Coggeshall Lane, overlooking the West Branch of the Westport River.

There will be live music, an open bar, delicious food, and a silent auction filled with valuable and unique items.

Having been called the best and most important party of the season, the event is the WRWA’s primary fund-raiser, supporting the organization’s science and education initiatives. H

Save The Date—Stargazer Gala on Nantucket

On Thursday, July 27, guests will Caravan to the shores of Polpis Harbor and find a field of tents, where they’ll dine and dance under the very stars that have guided the explorers before us.

Partygoers will enjoy the beautiful colors of the night sky as the sun sets, dance to musical guest star Fleetwood Mack, eat delicious food by Island Kitchen, stargaze with our professional astronomers, and more!

Dancing the night away while celebrating and supporting the Maria Mitchell Association (MMA) organization, founded in 1902 to preserve the legacy of Nantucket native astronomer, naturalist, librarian, and educator, Maria Mitchell; it’s sure to be good old-fashioned Nantucket fun. H
