The following portfolio presents projects and skills developed during the years of my first cycle of architecture education and include both student and freelanced projects. My aim is to introduce diverse examples regarding both scale of the projects and technique of presentation. The intention I have for my future career is to contribute the architecture field with the aspects of human emotions, perception and cognition using the knowledge provided by the environmental psychology. The new perspective as a master’s student revealed to me more empathical ways to approach and study the actual user considering with highest priority the basic human needs on the one hand and the specific ones of the user group profile on the other hand. Two examples of this approach will be provided separately from this portfolio.

Design concept
This house is a private project on a lot at Bejersparksgatan in Malmö, Sweden. The program followed is to design a house for a single parent of two. The neighbourhood’s typology resembles suburban village with houses of a same, box-shaped and two-sloped-roof small houses with courtyards. The lot is plane and with no significant vegetation. A row with parking spots on North is present but with no importance at all as there is a lot of space elsewhere. The more so as they are on a private land the spots will be removed.
At the core of this project is the idea of creating a nest, a comfortable shell, shaped by the two children. As an inspiring example from the nature is found the walnut shell, shaped from the inside by the nut. The planning of the spaces is subordinate to the following conditions: evolving, flexibility and freedom of movement. With those in focus the spaces are organized so that the transition between the spaces is gradual and include “in-between” spaces. The house is meant to change in reflection to the changes of the owners life situation: as the children grow their needs change and therefore their spaces will open wider with time.

Environmental shiftings Transition between pravite and shared premisses is happening gradually. The shared premissesare are closer to the ground level. As the children grow older they will need to separate their private live from the parent. The rooftop together with the kids’ room can then play a role of a house in the house. If the owners wish, the rooftop terrace can be co-

On the other side the view provides visual access to the backyard with the basketball terrain. vered with translucent cover and in that way the space can be used year round as well as the private space grows wider. The terrace is intended to be used as a transitioning room between indoor and outdoor taking advantage of the privacy provide by the hight. The transition between indoor and outdoor spaces also occurs gradually with the help of flexible edges and multifunctional furniture and surfaces. example for that are window edges used for sitting and the fireplace.
The fireplace can be fired both from the inside and from the outside and it serves several functions: to warm the house, to be used as a grill (from the outside) and for sitting and chatting (in the livig room. The kitchen is at lowest level because in that way it has a natural connection to the small herbal garden and the patio. The connection between indoor and

Materiality The main materials used in this project are wood - to create coziness and comfort, concrete - as a fluid material it can form organic shapes and translucent materials like polycarbonate panels to shelter outdoor comfortable microclimates and to create a nice ambient and diffused light.

The main entrance is chosen to be on North at Ă…kerĂśgatan because it is one level more private than the other three open sides of the lot. The decision automatically creates the opportunity to meet the neighbours more often and to encourage social interaction. The East side of the lot is

lifted a bit and trees will be planted to create a visual barrier and to orientate the children´s play towards the house. At west there is a car gate for bigger social events where the guest can park their cars. Otherwise the space can be used for sport training, for example basketball.
The fence around the house is supposed to let sun light and at the same time to protect from the intence car traffic. On North.East it will let the sun light out to sustain a small flowering gardens between the sidewalk and the fence.

The existing urban tissue fall in with the aim of my planning to take advantage of the sun position and the of use the courtyard in most efficient way. Therefore, the position the house aligns with the others closer to Åkerögatan on North. From there I intend to create conditions for site limits which preserve the privacy of the family but in a way that it doesn’t enclose it in a defensive way. A gentle edge between the neighbourhood and the site would enable sound personal connections.

ITriangeln. A project for the City Planning Office in Malmö, Sweden. The task was to present a vision for a new project for renewing the area around one of the most important stations in Malmö, namely Triangeln. As existing the empty area used now for a bike parking
will be replaced by a mix-use building following the program of the city development. The image is used when communicate with the potential designers of the new building. The request for this task was to accent on the mood and diversity of the place without focusing on the facade of the building to avoid interference with the entry ideas. Following
that I worked with possible activities like climbing on terraces, shoping, drinking coffee, going to dance studio etc. An important contribution to the concept from my side was to identify the potential of the passage between the new building and the school (at left). Tools used: DiSLR camera, SketchUp, V-ray, Photoshop.

Lindängen. A project for the City Planning Office in Malmö, Sweden. For this project I made an illustration of a vision for a mixed-use environment in connection with a kindergarden. The new buildings which will appear are the building
on the left, nowadays a parking lot, and an extension of the kindergarden which will be used for a shcool with older children. The request was, in alignment with the program of the city, to imagine a kindergarden without fence.. My personal contribution to the concept was to
identify the need to change the bicycle path with the sidewalk to encrease the movement speed gradually and to protect the children from the bicycles. Further more I was granted a complete freedom to visualize the landscape. I decided to work with sitting places, groundcovers, small ponds to separate the different rooms and the renewing of the kindergarden’s courtyard.
