Product Design | Night Bloom Cereus
Project Description A lamp that can empathically display how the waste heat human made is inclusively digested, and revive the waste in a magnificent way of nature. 有感於人類近世代對自然造 成的破壞，於是希望設計一 個特殊的情境燈具，能具象 地展示文明產生的廢熱是如 何被自然容忍地吸收、並以 令人驚奇的姿態重生於世。

The interaction between civilization and nature reminds me of the splendid but ephemeral epiphyllum blossom. Connected with the myth of the white raven born in flames, the petals were inspired by wide-spreaded wings of the white raven. The feathers have six different layers. The core of the flower is composed of a ring of soul-like stamens, with pistils forming a clusteramaryllis in the middle. The design symbloizes that human civilization will eventually die out into the afterlife. The red copper wire heating up with the temperature represents the power of nature that brings about the rise and fall. 人類文明與自然的互動關係讓我聯想到了燦 爛卻短命的曇花。串連起白烏鴉誕生於火焰 的神話，曇花花瓣便以展翅的白烏鴉羽毛做 變形，並且六層的羽翼型態皆有所異。 花蕊則是由環形的靈魂狀雄蕊和彼岸花造型 的雌蕊組成，蕊絲由紅銅線串接。象徵人類 文明終將死滅而進升來世；隨溫度升高的紅 銅線則表現出推動這一切誕滅的自然動能。

Function Petal part (soft silicon, iron-based alloy) Shape memory alloy (SMA) strip are embeded around the petal’s inner fringe. Input heat
tretches the
silicon basal body (petal).
Stamen & Pistil (phosphor) Stamen and pistil are composed of phosphor, making them glimmer after the light is off.
Bulb Depending on power, different bulbs can cause different levels of blossom.
Heat Tunnel (copper) Waste heat emitting from the lighting bulb is absorb into the outer copper wire (stylus part). And it’s transfered through the embeded wire channel to the petal part from the bottom to the top.

Esipper A gadget to sip canned drink elegantly and hygienically.
You may get in trouble as you cannot drink up the canned beverage at once. Liquid will spill out so easily when carrying it moving. Certain occasions like library, auditorium, MRT is then prohibited to take these non-airtighted containers in. What’s more, dust can fall into the drink through the opening. There is also a health concern for people who drink directly through the verge of the can. The package may be contaminated through process of transittion. Esipper can fix all these problems and makes people easy to sip comfortably.

Concept 本專案以人體為基地，建立生物和人體地景之間的動態關 係，並藉由數位構築方法，完成裝置的建構和製造。 魟魚是存在於一億年前的侏儸紀，其貼服於海底的肌理， 刻錄了無數次地殼的異變。本案將人體地景轉譯成地殼， 呈現魟魚和海景的演化關係。

Process 首先定義人體與魟魚的運動關係： 當人走動時，前後晃動的手臂將使魟魚翅膀產生波動。 在Grasshopper建構以人為基地的造型和機構， 針對實體模型的測試結果，進行數位模型的調整。

Concept 本專案要求以「永恆時間」為主題， 設計一戶外展場裝置，並將設置於交大圖書館草坪。 時間是由無數個體和歷史聚集而成的概念， 事件交錯並行，構成過去、現在和未來的通道。

Concept 本裝置探討數位科技衍生的暴力問題。 當個人的活動和作為存在於社會的證明資料， 被暴露、存證於數位空間中， 每個人都將成為潛在的受害者和加害者。

Process 以超聲波感測進入範圍的物體，並讓舌頭轉向該物。 藉由感測器的特性和程式設計，舌頭在對準目標物的過程 會快速顫動，如一隻興奮異常的野獸。
