Sun. 9AM, 10AM, 6PM Mon.-Wed. 7PM e know everyone dies, but then what? Our world can offer plenty of
theories and opinions about the afterlife: reincarnation, oblivion, judgment, purgatory, Heaven, Nirvana, Hell, to list only the well known ones. But what’s true and what’s not? Can we afford to be surprised? Do we really want to be surprised, especially when there is reliable information about it? The Bible calls God's promises about the afterlife “hope”, but Christian hope is more than just a happy wish. It is a confident expectation; and it’s basic to Christian motivation, obedience, and perseverance. But the specifics of this hope often get muddled in the midst of a modern jumble of religious ideas. “Next” is a careful study of the wonderful Christian hope found in the Bible. It was written to be read and understood by a wide audience as it deals honestly and kindly with even sensitive subjects.

BOBCAT TAILGATE ME E T T H E B O B CAT S ~ B OB CAT TA I LG ATE 2 0 2 1 WHEN: Saturday, August 7, 2021 WHERE: Bobcat Stadium (Behind Celina High School) TIME: 8:00-11:00am Meet The Bobcats has been a tradition in our community for over thirty years. It started with community members showing up at Bobcat Field on a Saturday morning to watch the first day of hitting drills for the Bobcat Football Team in preparation for their upcoming season. When Coach Elliott took over in 2012, he wanted to increase community involvement and invited support organizations to pump up the excitement. It is a time for our families, students, fans, and community members to get to know our students that are involved in athletics, cheer, drill team, and band. For those die-hard football fans, it also gives a glimpse into what the season may hold for our Bobcats. It is also a time for those new to our community to meet other families and feel the excitement of being a part of Bobcat Nation! We will also be hosting our Bobcat Tailgate party in the concourse area under the Home bleachers. We have invited local businesses, churches, and organizations to share information with new and returning families. If you would like to be a part of the Bobcat Tailgate, you can find the application on our website at www.celinaisd.com or on our social media pages. 12

Celina's Royal Family
Local Celina wife and mother will be representing Celina and the Collin County area in competing for the title of Mrs. Texas on September 18th, 2021 at the Palace Theater in Corsicana, TX. Jennifer Daly, a 10-year Celina resident was chosen to compete for the title of Mrs. Texas from a field of applicants received from throughout the area. Jennifer’s commitment to serving those around her and personal achievements were significant in her being chosen for the title of Mrs. Collin County. “I feel it is my duty to use my time, talent, and resources to help others around me and bring awareness to ways we can make our world better,” says Daly. “And I want my children to follow in my footsteps by giving back and serving others, as well.” Jennifer’s husband, Daniel, a Plano Fire-Rescue Lieutenant, and her children Zoey and Lexi are extremely proud of her. In addition to being a committed wife, mother, and volunteer, Jennifer is also a published author, life coach, actress, and speaker. Jennifer is a proud supporter of our CISD schools and serves as the Teacher Appreciation Chair of the PTA for O’Dell Elementary.
United by Uniqueness: Differences make us stronger, is Jennifer’s pageant platform. She is so passionate about seeing our differences as something that can unite us that she wrote a children’s book about the topic! Zoey the Zebra meets Lexi the Lion is set for an August 4th publication date, which happens to be her oldest daughter’s birthday. Jennifer plans to travel to Texas area schools reading and encouraging children to make friends with kids that look and think differently than themselves. Jennifer will compete in three categories for the Mrs. Texas title: personal interview, swimsuit and evening gown. Contestants for the Mrs. Texas America Pageant must be married and live in the city or county they represent. The winner will receive a prize package worth thousands of dol[1]lars and will go on to compete for the title of Mrs. America In November in Las Vegas, NV. The Mrs. America Pageant is the only nationally televised pageant for married women in the country. To join OurCelina in sponsorship of Jennifer or for ticket information please email Jennifer@CheeringOnMoms.com or visit www.CheeringOnMoms.com/MrsCollinCounty. And Jennifer isn't the only royalty in the family. Her daughter, Lexi Daly, recently took home both Texas Top Model and Texas Top Actress awards at the 2021 National American Miss Pageant. Over the weekend of June 18th through 20th, Lexi competed in Houston with girls from all over the state of Texas. “I love making new friends. That is the best part of pageants!” says Lexi as she described the weekend. Lexi Daly is a student at O’Dell Elementary. She is in the Gifted and Talented (GT) program and has previously held the titles of Student of the month (2020), Miss Texas Holiday (2017), and Wee Miss Texas (2018). Daniel and Jennifer Daly, Lexi’s parents, have loved watching her grow life-long skills through pageantry. While in Houston, Lexi had to speak using a microphone on stage by herself providing a 30-second introduction to an audience of almost 500 in attendance. In addition, she was interviewed one on one by seven judges in a timed interview-style format. Lexi also walked the stage in formal wear, escorted by her father. Lexi can be seen on tv these days in nationwide commercials like Six Flags and Christus Health. Her parents believe pageantry has helped Lexi see the importance of being a great community servant and representative. She wants to help other girls know they can do anything with hard work and a great attitude! OurCelina.com | July 2021
