Meet Chef, Ace French

A veteran of over 30 years in the culinary arts, and originally from Atlantic Beach, Florida near Jacksonville. He is married to Karan, the manager of the Blue Heron, who is also a veteran of the restaurant business. Ace has been the Executive Chef at Cape Cod landmarks such as The Old Yarmouth Inn and Patio American Grill in Provincetown, and recently Gannon’s Tavern. His resumé also includes owning and operating Two Dudes Eatery and Market in Atlantic Beach and corporate settings such as Compass Group and Marriott Hotel. Ace is a graduate of both Johnson and Wales University and Cordon Bleu and holds degrees from both universities. Ace brings a fresh vision to The Blue Heron that features a fusion of New England styles and southern fl air that creates vibrant and exciting dishes sure to WOW our customers. There will be new menus available in the next issue of The Happenings. Plans include a Pasta Bar for the pasta lovers every Tuesday night. Prime Rib will be back every Saturday night and there will be a Flat Bread special each week. In addition, Weekend Specials will return from Thursdays through Sundays.

Extremely passionate about food, Ace brings that excitement, pride and attention to detail to every dish he creates. He is fond of telling his staff , “Every dish that comes from the kitchen, whoever prepared it, should be willing to deliver it to the guest and proudly say, ‘I made this for you.’”

Deanne Fricano “Dee” is the Assistant Manager at the Blue Heron. She has worked there the longest in the front of the house. She always has a smile on her face and is friendly to everyone. In her off time, she likes to spend time with her pets and explore photography.

Maureen Davis Maureen was TGO’s spring Employee of the Quarter. Better known as “Mo,” she is one of our great bartenders. She has EMT experience which has made her a valuable asset here at TGO. In her off time, Mo enjoys spending time taking rides in her golf cart with her dog. Beth Garrison Beth is a veteran server and this past year learned how to bartend. She is super friendly to all our guests and to her coworkers. Beth doesn’t have a lot of free time as she also owns a landscaping business! Beth is obviously a super hard worker.

Annabelle Grimes This is Annabelle’s fi rst job and she is killing it! She is the hostess at The Blue Heron (and Beth’s daughter). She helps the servers out and is hoping to move up to serving when she turns 18! Julio Aguilar When Julio applied for the serving position he was hired on the spot! He is very talented and is a great asset to the Blue Heron team. Julio’s dog just had puppies so he has his hands full during his time off ! Dannielle Beier Danni is our beverage cart person who sells you beverages at Hole 10. In her free time, she hangs out with her four children. Katie Herman Katie is one of our newest team members. She is very professional and well trained in serving and bartending. Katie works two jobs and doesn’t have much time off , but when she does, she spends it with her son.

Dani Smith Dani has worked both breakfast and dinner. She has become one of our reliable team members. She is always happy and smiling. She has a positive attitude that rubs off on everyone. Rebecca McGeehan Rebecca is our weekend warrior. She only works weekends at the Blue Heron, as this is her second job. She loves spending time with her kids when she’s not working

Hailey Leitem Hailey is our newest team member. She has a bubbly personality and serves with a smile! Hailey goes to school in her free time. Liberty Teel Shown here at Easter Brunch staffi ng the waffl e station. Liberty has learned every station in the kitchen - a very avaluable asset. Dawn England Dawn has become one of the best breakfast servers we have! She lives in Maine during the summer and will leave a huge void when she leaves in May. In her free time, she likes to golf!

Derick Watters Derick’s Easter Brunch duties included being in charge of the Ham Carving Station. Frances Porzio Frances “Frenchie” has been cooking your breakfasts since the Jukebox was open. She has been a Blue Heron team member longer than anyone!
