Rainforest.

There are only two different types of rainforest. One of them is the tropical rainforest, and the other one is the temperate rainforest. Tropical rain forests have hundreds of trees and is warm and usually the age of the trees grow to 50-100 years. There are a lot of Epiphytes such as orchids and bromeliads. The temperate rainforest only has a few trees like from 10-20 but the trees live for 1000-5000 years. The temperature is cool on the rainforest floors so there are mostly only mosses and ferns.

Plants The Congo rainforest is home to many plants than any other country in Africa. Trees are usually 40 meters above the ground. There is a competition for the plants that fight for sunlight so tall growth is necessary. Plants at the bottom rarely survive and are mostly full of moss, ferns, dead plants and leaves. The dead trees still have use

though; they usually are for birds and bats for breeding areas and also for shelter. Other small animals can use them too. The Medicinal plants are found in this rainforest. These plants are drugs that can fight

sicknesses like cancer. People have identified 1400 plants that can fight cancer.
