Drop a Line or Drop In at “Snow Fun Day” LAKEWOOD – Paul Bunyan Snow Fun Day on Saturday, Jan. 29 is an event that your family won’t want to miss. The Paul Bunyan Riders Snowmobile Club is sponsoring this annual event, which is headquartered at Waubee Lake Lodge in Lakewood. For more information and updates, call 715-340-8824.

The event features a fishing derby beginning at 7 a.m. with all fish to be brought in for judging no later than 4 p.m. Derby registration is the day before at Pintsch’s Hardware or the Lakewood Bait Shop, or you can register the morning of the derby at Waubee Lake Lodge.

Whether you catch fish or not, take a chance on the meat raffle, which begins at 2 p.m. There will be other raffle baskets and 50-50 raffles, along with food and beverages throughout the day. The $100 raffle ticket drawing will be at 6 p.m. and the $10 raffle ticket drawing will be at 7 p.m. If you entered the poker run, bring in your books by 5 p.m. to draw a poker hand.
