Manitowish Waters is a picturesque small town known for its natural beauty, clear lakes for fishing and water sports and an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities. However, it’s not only known for its outdoor attractions as it also boasts a thriving music and arts scene, particularly during the summer months.
One of the town’s most popular events - Music in the Park - is held on Sunday evenings from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., June through early September. Visitors can gather at Koller Park’s scenic amphitheater to enjoy live music performances by local and regional musicians. From rock ’n’ roll to country to jazz, the event schedule includes a variety of genres to appeal to all tastes and ages. New for this summer, the Manitowish Waters Chamber of Commerce is hosting Night Markets during which local artists and craftspeople gather to show off their talent, selling handmade items like pottery, wood carvings, paintings, photography and other crafts. The Night Market is held one Friday per month in the summer at the Community Center Grounds. Summer 2023 Night Market Events are scheduled for Friday evenings on June
16, July 14 and August 18. Featuring live music, craft beer and food from local vendors, this is a can’t-miss event for art & music lovers. Night Markets run from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
For fans of bluegrass music, the Manitowish Waters Bluegrass Festival is another highly anticipated event taking place on Thursday through Sunday, July 27 - 30. Hosted by Cozy Cove Tavern & Restaurant, the festival draws enthusiastic crowds from around the region and features some of the best bluegrass musicians from across the country.
