Motorcycle Tour of Honor to Visit Wakefield Memorial

WAKEFIELD, MI - Located on the shoreline of Sunday Lake in Wakefield, MI, the Wakefield Area Veterans Living Memorial will be a featured stop on the 13th annual 50-state Tour of Honor Motorcycle Ride.

Tour of Honor is a season-long, self-directed ride to memorials and monuments around the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii. Registration fees for the Tour of Honor go to support Fisher House Foundation, Gold Star Family Memorial Foundation, and Gary Sinise Foundation First Responders Outreach.

Cruising the Upper Peninsula by motorcycle is a very popular activity, what with so many waterfalls, lakeshores, historic sites, and forest-sided roads. Wakefield’s Sunday Lake is great place to stop, with picnic and camping areas available, and only a short walk (or ride!) to downtown restaurants, shops, and the Wakefield Historical Society Museum.
