Floodplain Park School work The park is located in Hualien, Taiwan. The afforestation farm here was forced to transform into an ecological reserve due to improper maintenance. The park serves as the interface between the protected area and the outside world. The concepet of Floodplain Park is to represent the original floodplain landscape that before afforestation, and a metaphor for water as a timeline. The forestation land and the irrigation ditches extending from outside of the site represent the "present" landscape and timeline, while the floodplain garden and its drainage ditches represent the landscape and timeline of "past". Through the terrain, the timelines of the present and the past finally intersect in the rest area.
Historical Building Conservation - Staff Dormitary for Sugar Factory Professional work This is a project about the investigation and preservation of a historical building complex. In this project I was responsible for measuring one of the traditional wooden Japanese buildings and drawing it to a one to one hundred scale.

La Défense Linear Park Professional work La Défense is a kilometer-long financial district located on the urban axis of Paris. In 1978, Dan Kiley designed a boulevard and plaza composed of platanus trees for here. And this project is trying to transfer the boulevard into a linear park by adding more green plants. Since the entire area is built on a subway system, we have extreme restrictions on planting plants. To understand the complex structure of this artificial site, we made a huge model of 1:200 and drew up to 50 sections. New trees were eventually placed after confirming the depth of excavation possible in all areas.
Existing trees (designed by Dan Kiley)
New trees (2 - 6m high)
New trees (over 12m high)
La Défense model (3.4*0.7m)
La Défense sections
Existing facilities and constrctions With limited budget, we retained and adapted to existing facilities as much as possible.
Soil depth The depth of the soil is limited by the structures beneath the ground. In the absence of original drawings of Dan Kiley's design and metro system, we spent a lot of time on studying the soil depth.
