Chris Bailey Re-Bath In 2011, Chris Bailey had the chance to join the Re-Bath team as a Design Consultant under Randy and Jamie Pratt, and the rest is history. He has worked on more than 1,200 bathroom remodels in the Anchorage and Mat-Su areas and loves that he is able to help clients through every step of the remodeling process, from design, to demolition and the sometimes-stressful installation that’s usually alleviated by an awesome in-house installation team. Casey Bieber iHeartRadio, 101.3 KGOT Casey Bieber was born and raised in Anchorage and has spent more than 20 years on the airwaves with iHeartRadio, working his way up from promotions to on-air as a midday DJ to the KGOT Program Director in 2013. As the Program Director, Casey is responsible for developing the content selections based on his knowledge of the target demographic. The success of his station clearly demonstrates that Casey understands the market. In 2019, Casey was named an Alaska Journal of Commerce Top 40 Under 40 young business leaders, and is the reigning 2020 Lord Trapper by the Anchorage Fur Rendezvous Winter Festival Board. Ross Cameron Rosco’s Pizza When Ross Cameron combined his intimate relationship with food, beverage and hospitality and his deep-rooted need for adventure and it was only a matter of time before he opened Rosco’s in Ninilchik, Alaska. Rosco’s has now seen 10 years of world travelers and fellow Alaskans come through the doors. Alongside his wife, Carol, Ross built Rosco’s with love, passion, vision and plain hard work into the must-stop pizzeria and eatery that Rosco’s is today. Adam Cordell Camper Valley RV Adam Cordell, alongside his father, started Camper Valley RV in Wasilla, Alaska, in 2008, starting with three RVs and two employees and growing the business to 170 RVs in stock and 15 employees. He had sold thousands of RVs to and for people in need of money, family time and business over the last 10 years, and grew his business to one of the largest RV dealerships in the state after a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Adam gives back to his community through efforts with the Mat-Su Food Bank and MyHouse in Wasilla. Said of Adam Cordell: “(He is) an outstanding salesman, the best in state, (and) one of the best bosses I’ve worked for and has grown a little 5 person business into a thriving 15+ employee work environment.”

Michael Dejnozka Dave & Busters, KKO Properties and Chili’s Michael Dejnozka has lived in Anchorage for 23 years, graduating from Robert Service High School in 2003, and attending University of Alaska Anchorage for an associate’s degree in welding. Ylli Ferati Fiori D’Italia Restaurant Ylli Ferati grew up in the industry, folding pizza boxes as early as he could walk, to cleaning in the dishpit, to prepping with his dad in the kitchen. The son of immigrants, he is proudly Albanian-American and his family currently owns the revered and hidden Fiori D’Italia in the heart of Spenard, where he serves as bartender. He has been recognized nationally for his commitment to the whisky industry and has put Alaska on the map for whisky. Said of Ylli Ferati: “Ylli’s talent is rare and his liquor knowledge is varied as he pours many exotic types of cocktails. At his young age he has worked hard, long hours to help his family and has made the bar an internationally recognized whisky bar.”

Liz Gerken Miller Trinion Quality Care Services As Human Resources and Office Manager at Trinion, Liz Gerken Miller handles the hiring and on-boarding of new staff, keeps the office running smoothly and often represents the company at job and career fairs. Her motto is, “Answer the phone with a smile because you don’t know what kind of day the person has had before speaking with you.” Liz also volunteers for Hands of Peace Alternatives to Violence Project, teaching creative conflict resolution built on affirmation, respect, cooperation and trust. Mary Rosenzweig Turnagain Brewing Mary Rosenzweig is co-owner of Turnagian Brewing,but started as a researcher in the basic sciences, progressing to public health and advocacy and eventually into non-profit management. These experiences, combined with nearly 30 years of homebrewing, lead her and Ted, her husband of 28 years, to open a small craft brewery in 2018. Through their Selfless Sunday initiative, Mary and Ted raise funds for local nonprofit groups. It is Mary’s goal to have both employees and customers enjoy their experience at Turnagain Brewing and to build a community. Along with the company, John takes time to focus on the community, and takes a lot of pride in being a part of Anchorage and Alaska. Richard Sorge PacRim Properties LLC Richard Sorge is a proud veteran and Alaskan business owner operating a full-service real estate brokerage in the Anchorage area. Jessie Taliva`a Catholic Social Services and Rural Cap Jessie Taliva’a is the Program Manager for Homeless Family Services (HFS) at Catholic Social Services and also works for RurAL CAP’s Permanent Supportive Housing Division. Being an Alaska resident for over 30 years and bearing witness to the community has inspired Jessie‘s beliefs to want to continue building up the community on many different levels, from ending homelessness, social justice and even to the extent of working with youth outreach programs. George Taylor Expert Janitorial Service LLC George Taylor was born in Cleveland, Ohio, overcoming poverty, homelessness and abandonment, and relocated to Alaska in 2011, dreaming of new opportunities. Shortly after arriving in Alaska, he became an ironworker, and years after successfully making it through the Ironworkers education program, George created Expert Janitorial Services LLC. As an inspirational business owner in the Anchorage community, George has spoken at numerous events. Said of George Taylor: “He always goes above and beyond. He is always striving to be great.”

Sasha and Chris Walden Dar Walden Team, Keller Williams Realty Alaska Group Sasha and Chris Walden are Buyer’s Specialists with the family business, Dar Walden Team, part of Keller Williams Realty Alaska Group. The couple were married in 2015 and Chris joined the family business, guiding Sasha into becoming a successful agent beginning in 2016. Sadly, Chris unexpectedly passed away in September 2019, but his larger-than-life personality is still widely felt and he continues to inspire Sasha and the home they have created within the community. Sasha has always been a believer that “wherever you call home, it is your duty being in a community to give back to the community.” Said of Sasha and Chris Walden: “One of the most amazing things about Sasha and Chris alike, was they are wherever you need them … they are each other’s love, hope, ambition, admiration, humility, strength, inspiration, resilience, perseverance and each other’s biggest fan. In turn, this creates their hearts of gold, selflessness and purity.”

Heather Walton Reading Write Alaska Heather Walton, owner of Reading Write Alaska, works tirelessly for students in Alaska, spreading awareness about dyslexia. Heather gained a passion for language-based learning disabilities through her work in the schools and spent several years taking continuing education courses and graduate level studies specifically regarding the diagnosis and treatment of dyslexia. She created the business in her garage, trying to help one student at a time, and now serves more than 400 students weekly, with the goal of expanding the use of teletherapy to bring dyslexia services to all of Alaska. Said of Heather Walton: “Heather supports each employee to continue to learn more and more about dyslexia, structured learning and language. Her dedication to both the employees and clients is really unmatched.”

Ryan Dachowski Whole Family Chiropractic Taking care of between 400-450 patient visits every single week, Dr. Ryan Dachowski works extraordinarily hard to care for each person as an individual, making sure they have an opportunity to communicate their goals and create a collaborative care plan to improve their health and make changes for their whole family’s lifestyle. He has a goal to open an integrative center in Alaska, similar to those found in the Lower 48, which will serve a great outreach of different health needs outside of a traditional hospital setting. Rob Merchant Moore Heating Rob Merchant is an outstanding businessman. During hectic times for Moore Heating, such as the 2018 earthquake or the extremely hot summer of 2019, he is always the first one in and the last one out of the office. Always looking for solutions, whether it’s municipal codes, vendor dealings or making sure that a customer’s needs are taken care of - Rob makes it happen. Said of Rob Merchant: “He is fair and customers know they can trust him. He really is positive every single day!”

Justin Morgan Supreme Electric Justin Morgan is the owner of Supreme Electric, an electrical services department he created that has compiled more than 150 5-star reviews and won numerous awards over the past few years, including the Best of Alaska 2019 Platinum award. Supreme Electric has thrived under his leadership, and he has created a culture where his employees love where they work. Marcquis Pulliam Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium Marcquis Pulliam is a key component in the Shipping & Receiving Department at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Division of Environmental Health & Engineering Department.
