Fort MacArthur Inn is the lodging operation for Los Angeles AFB. It is located in the city of San Pedro, 20 miles south of LA AFB and offers 72 non-smoking units. We strive to ensure our guests have a clean, comfortable room to guarantee a good night’s rest and a pleasant stay. Space-Available reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance, depending on the base occupancy and at the lodging managers’ discretion. Space-A reservations for TLF can only be made up to 30 days in advance in accordance to AFI 34-135 Table 3.5. A confirmed reservation may not guarantee a specific room type.
Due to current base conditions surrounding COVID-19, Fort MacArthur Inn hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday to Saturday until further notice. Reservations are limited to personnel on TDY and/or PCS orders only.

Sports & Recreation Fridays Fitness Run Friday, January 8 & 29 | 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. Ages 5-18 In 2021 we will continue our new tradition of meeting for a fitness run every Friday at the Parade Field located on Fort MacArthur. OutReach Bake goods sale in support of Children’s Hospital January 14
On January 14 Keystone and Torch leadership will be conducting a bake sale to raise money for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Youth will be running the bake sale with the prepackaged baked items for this community service activity. This activity is also a money matters event since the youth will be giving change, keeping track of the items sold and their cost, as well as the inventory of items to be sold.

Community Outreach Activity In support of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles we will be creating a “Change to Make a Change” coin jar as a fund raiser for the Children’s Hospital. One of our own families visits the Children’s Hospital twice a week with their little angel baby. Help us help our children. Money collected will go directly to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Obstacle Course January 22 | 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Ages 5-18 Come join the fun on Fitness Fun Day. We will be doing an obstacle course on the Parade Field. Ongoing Programs School Age Care (Ages 5-12) Before and After School Program provides age-appropriate childcare with quality programming, youth activities and events. Clubs, Activities, and USDA approved meals and snacks are offered. Transportation to and from select schools is available. The program focuses on team building, cognitive growth, and development of social awareness and problem-solving skills. The staff offers homework support to youth enrolled in the School Age Program. Transportation Program (Ages 9-18) CLOSED Youth Program members are eligible for transportation to and f rom select schools: Leland Elementary, Point Fermin Elementary, White Point Elementary, Dana Middle School and San Pedro HighSchool. Youth & Teen Programs (Ages 9-18) This program provides recreational options for dependents of active duty, retired military, DoD employees, contractors, or residents living on base under a Tierra Vista lease contract. Youth must have current membership and be between 9-18 years of age. A current shot record is required to be provided when registering to include a current Flu vaccination. Community service programs, clubs, and classes are offered with focus on positive socialization, recreational activities, cognitive challenges, and team building skills. $30 PER MEMBERSHIP YEAR (AUGUST – JULY)
Congressional Award Opportunities The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and noncompetitive. The program is open to all 14 to 23-year-olds. Participants earn Bronze, Silver, & Gold Congressional Award Certificates & Bronze, Silver, & Gold Congressional Award Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas: Volunteer Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. SUPER Prepared: Kids Disaster Kit If you have children, it’s smart to have them put together their own “Kid’s Disaster Kit”. It can be fun for the child and it’s mainly recommended so they will have things to do and share with other kids and reduce anxiety during the disaster. These can all be stored in a backpack or duffel bag. Just make sure you or the child can carry it easily if evacuation is needed. Some suggested items for your child’s disaster kit: • • • • • • • • •

• Only available for adult lap swim (18+) by reservation on LAFSS.com • Swimmers must wear a face mask upon entry/exit • All swimmers must shower prior to entering the pool • Flotation devices must be USCG approved • No water-wings, floating swim suits, or inflatables • Lifeguard may require unsafe swimmers to wear one of our provided life vests or puddle jumpers • No food or drinks allowed on deck (water is ok) • All swimmers must wear proper swim attire • No t-shirts, tank tops, gym shorts, etc.
