The School Age Care Program

(Ages 5-12) Before and After School Program provides age-appropriate childcare with quality programming, youth activities, and events. The program focuses on team-building, cognitive growth, and development of social awareness and problem-solving skills. The staff offers homework support. Youth & Teen Programs (Ages 9-18) This program provides recreational options for dependents of active duty, retired military, DoD employees, contractors, or residents living on base under a Tierra Vista lease contract. The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all 14 to 23-yearolds. Fridays, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Join us and enjoy learning new skills in the kitchen when cooking and eating with friends. Youth are encouraged to bring or send in recipes from their family favorites, or from cultural family traditions. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to share their culinary skills with the team.

Smart Girls (Ages 9-18)

Tuesday, February 8 & March 8 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Giving Girls confidence! SMART Girls is a small-group health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program designed to meet the developmental needs of girls. Permission slips are required to participate in classes.

Torch Club (Ages 9-12)

Tuesdays, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Torch Clubs focus is on developing cognitive, leadership, socialization, and community awareness skills. Our foundation is based on teamwork and how to become a better team by improving our outlook. Join us weekly to become a part of this dynamic team. Your input is important to us.

Guitar/Drums/Piano/Music Lessons (FREE LESSONS) (Ages 9-18 younger youth may be accepted) Tuesdays, 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Are you interested in learning to play the guitar, & drums? Join us for a virtual learning experience to learn some new skills. Guitars are provided during lessons, but students are encouraged to bring their own so they can practice between classes while learning at home. Health & Wellness (Ages 9-18)

Chess Club (Ages 9-18)

Wednesdays, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Participants meet and complete chess puzzles, learn tactics & strategies, and play chess! 24

Fridays, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Each week we will tackle a different outdoor activity, from kickball to tennis to track-and-field.

STEAM Center of Innovation (Ages 5-18)

Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri (Ages 9-18) : 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesdays (Ages 5 to 8) : 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. The STEAM room is open five days a week! Join staff for directed and other cool STEM projects, or just stop by for some solo time on a computer, using 3D pens, building robots, flying drones, and much more. This month we are focusing on robotics and 3D printing and how we can use them to help our community.
