Transition Workshop (3 days)

The three day format covers a broad range of topics from financial planning to job search to a VA benefits briefing. Spouses are highly encouraged to attend. This workshop is mandatory for all separating members, highly recommended for retiring military members.

DOL Employment Track (2 days)

May 22 - 23 | June 20 - 21 • 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This new workshop is part of the Transition Program. It is a monthly workshop where Transitioning Service Members, Spouses, Retirees and Veterans can build a resume for a civilian or a federal job and learn interview techniques, salary negotiations and labor market information.

Trek Across America & California are self-paced programs that allow individuals to be rewarded when the goal is achieved. These year-round programs are based on an honor system. Worksheets are located in a folder by the front desk at the El Segundo and Fort MacArthur Fitness Centers to keep track of your mileage. Prizes are awarded when you reach highlighted landmarks along the map. If you participate in the Trek across California, you can transfer your mileage to the USA Trek starting from Amarillo, Texas. Before and After School Program provides age-appropriate childcare with quality programming, youth activities and events. Clubs, Activities, and USDA approved meals and snacks are offered. Transportation to and from select schools is offered based on availability. The summer program will have weekly themes and field trips. The program focuses on team building, cognitive growth, and development of social awareness and problem-solving skills. The staff offers homework support to youth enrolled in the School Age Program. This program provides recreational options for dependents of active duty, retired military, DoD employees, contractors, or residents living on base under a Tierra Vista lease contract. Youth must have current membership and be between 9-18 years of age. A current shot record is required when registering. Community service programs, clubs, and classes are offered with focus on positive socialization, recreational activities, cognitive challenges, and team-building skills.

Giving Girls confidence! SMART Girls is a small-group health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program designed to meet the developmental needs of girls. Permission slips are required to participate in classes.

Passport to Manhood (Ages 9-18)

A 14-session program that focuses on specific aspects of manhood through interactive activities. Open to boys ages 9 to 18 who are Youth Programs Members.

STEAM Center of Innovation (Ages 5-18)

Monday - Friday (Ages 9-18) : 3 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

Tuesdays (Ages 5 to 8) : 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.

The STEAM room is open five days a week! Join staff for directed and other cool STEM projects, or just stop by for some solo time on a computer, using 3D pens, building robots, flying drones, and much more.
