FAMILY CHILD CARE

Family Child Care Coordinator, Cheryl Richardson, FCC Coordinator (310) 653-6802 @ FCC LAAFB Interested in Becoming a Family Child Care Provider? COVID-19 has shut down much of our country. Most of us are working from home while schools and daycares are closed. This pandemic is disheartening on many levels, but have you secretly enjoyed all the time you are able to spend with your children? Reading in blanket forts, rediscovering how cool Legos are, cooking together? Seriously how cute was your little one doing pushups with you this morning? How about that connection you made with your older child when you involved them in one of your favorite hobbies?

Are you in need of a Child Care Provider? FCC Homes are now open at Fort MacArthur! It’s a great time to conduct phone interviews with one of our licensed providers. FCC homes at Fort MacArthur will reopen soon. Contact the Family Child Care Coordinator, Cheryl Richardson at Cheryl.Richardson.4@us.af.mil for a list of current providers.

Right now, is a great time to start the process of becoming a Family Child Care Provider. Get a head start now so when things return to normal, you’ll be ready for a new normal!

August 8 | 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Community Center at Fort MacArthur Family Child Care will be sponsoring a car seat check up event. This is a chance for parents to come ensure their child’s car seat is properly installed and if not learn how to do so. Requirements are to have the vehicle, car seat, and child present for a proper fit. More than 12 of all car seats are incorrectly installed.
