Haddad Deputy Commander, 61 FSS Congratulations Class of 2020! Though you might have not been able to participate in the traditional ceremonies, your accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. Best wishes on the next chapter of your lives. Pat Brown Flight Chief, Child and Youth Services I would like to take this moment to send each of you a special congratulations for a job well done. Along with your last year in high school, the year 2020 brought so many different changes. You can often hear those around you saying, “this have never happened before” and believe me it is so very true. Your life has had many unusual circumstances. You all were born directly after the 911 bombing and that was something that occurred in which we had never seen before. Now you are the first graduation class to experience a pandemic with no formal graduation but yet you all are prevailing. There you go, you guys love to set precedence of being the most usual, and never the norm. No matter what the circumstances are today, it is no doubt that you all have dreams and I anticipate that you will make them big… like we have never seen before because it in cemented into the fabric of who you are. Eleanor Roosevelt said, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of dreams”. Know that no matter how your senior year ended, it is still up to you to make your future all the beauty that it can be. Go forth and build those big dreams.
