The main idea of the masterplan is a renovation of a soviet residential area in Yekaterinburg city. Masterplan conception has a local park existing like a green attractor, has a social infrastructure (kindergartens and schools), and has a cluster of commercial buildings of the new economic paradigm.
The idea consists of several points: urban fabric based on the idea of a basic height of 8 stories, designing urban blocks to have basic height and high accents of 16 stories, the measures of residential blocks to have a range from 60 to 150 meters, and permeable urban fabric to allow different scenarios of walking. The principles of New Urbanism make a comfortable urban space, allowing us to create a local society and diversity of building typologies. The Sellable Floor Area of the project is 465 000 sq.m.
For the project, I designed to propose typologies of residential blocks, typologies of schools and kindergartens, profiles of streets and public spaces, presentations and urban visualizations, and collages of the project.
