A travelling exhibition produced by the Canadian Museum of History.
Your Museum : with Lorna, E.D. @ the MAG What an incredible start we have on summer this year! In June we were honored to host Walking With Our Sisters, a moving memorial to the over 1,300 missing and murdered Aboriginal women. In three weeks, the sacred bundle was viewed by over 2,400 visitors. Our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed so generously of their hearts and their time!
In July, the MAG will present Kids Celebrate! - an opportunity to explore celebrations around the world and through the seasons. The exhibition encourages children and their families to think about their own celebrations and learn about a variety of different traditions. lorna.johnson@reddeer.ca
Your Museum Board : Jeremy Moore, President I am very pleased to accept the role of President of the Red Deer & District Museum Society. I have been involved with the museum for several years now, and I am very excited by way that the Museum is growing and changing and getting more engaged in the community. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank the Department of Canadian Heritage Museums Assistance Program for their support of our collections re-organization project, as well as Kids Celebrate!
