What is something fun you plan to do this year that you’ve never done before? Went Parasailing. Had never done that before, did not plan to do it, and have no plans to do it again.
What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten? Not a food, but a drink called Malort which is a wormwood-based schnapps some have described as tasting like eating a tire fire. See this article (here) for a sampling of some of the other colorful descriptions.

Where has been your favorite place you’ve traveled? As a family, we go to Colorado every summer. My oldest son and I have walked up Vail mountain ten years in a row. Looking forward to the eleventh later this summer.

10 Q’s with 6C What was the worst job you’ve ever had? My first job was a cook at KFC, which surprisingly is not the worst job I have ever had. That distinction belongs to being an inside sales rep for MCI, selling long distance and paging services (yes, sales of long distance calling was a thing way back when)

Last movie I watched that I hadn’t already seen was Infinite (not great), so the last good movie I watched was Concrete Cowboy with Idris Elba - he’s always good and the story was one I’d never heard.
Fall - best combination of weather, clothes (I like jackets, flannels and boots) and sports. I am a big fan of college football, in particular the Nebraska Cornhuskers. GBR!!!
Do you have any pets?
What is something fun you plan to do this year that you’ve never done before? Not sure I have any plans to do something I haven’t done before. I would say skydiving, but I have been forbidden until our kids are completely independent (if that is ever the case).
What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten? Not an adventurous eater, so probably a bug, but only by accident while biking.
Where has been your favorite place you’ve traveled? I like the mountains so Colorado (various places) and Yellowstone are two places I like, but Costa Rica is probably my favorite.
What is your favorite way to unwind after a long day? I am not good at sitting around, so usually at night I do chores (house, mow, etc.) or get some exercise. I will watch sports a bit and if I’m really being lazy, I’ll sit on the back porch and listen to music.

My first job, selling washing powder in 25l containers, equivalent of 1 year’s worth of consumption for a family of four. Cold calling during the day when you would get through to students and retired people :”hi do you want to buy 4 years of washing powder?”...
Do you have any pets?
No pets, allergic to most pets (at 10 I had a fish tank, only to discover that I was the 7th person in Sweden with a diagnosed allergy to the algae in the fish tank)... I have a son though, does that count?
What was the last movie you saw?
Hmm, I mainly watch movies I have already seen… The true answer is probably embarrassing, so I will go with one of the Bond movies I watched not too long ago, Casino Royale (for the 5th time or so).
What is something fun you plan to do this year that you’ve never done before?
I have plans to go to Botswana for dug-out canoe safari in the Okavango Delta with my 8 year-old son. He is expecting the kind of adventure we had on an uninhabited island north of Scotland last year, but this will be a bit more civilized with tents and restaurants, not having to scavenge for food!
What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten?
I traveled a bit in China, so who knows what I have eaten on those trips. But maybe when I was 21 living in Spain and was offered a lamb’s eye, still in the socket of the skull. When you are in Rome…

Any Historical Fiction. The heist was great about the art theft in Boston. Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter? (and why!) I’m from a tiny village by the beach, so it has to be summer.
Where has been your favorite place you’ve traveled?
Hard one to say… Top three would be Climbing Brandberg in Nambia, Running an ultra (and getting lost at night!) in the rainforest in Borneo, Indonesia, and finally Japan, the most exotic country I have ever been to. Last time we were in Japan we climbed Mt Fuji and had the most amazing sunrise from the top. My favorite book of all times is Shogun and I re-read it every year for the past 20 years and it has so much Japan in it, so when in Japan I feel like I am part of that story. Plus I would happily spend days on the kitchen street in Tokyo browsing pots, pans and Japanese crockery. Oh and the food - the best in the world bar none!
What is your favorite way to unwind after a long day?
It used to be running, but I injured my knee 1.5 years ago. Now it would be cycling, swimming or paddle, or alternatively to read.

During my MBA I had this job of selling English courses on the streets of Rio de Janeiro. It was an unusual way to sell and position education courses, but it taught me a lot about cold calling, sales pitching and most of all, dealing with rejection. I ended up really good at it and did this gig for almost 2 years. Still the most challenging job I ever had.
Do you have any pets? We just got a golden retriever: Jose Elvis. 3 months old and a great puppy!
What was the last movie you saw? Took my kids to see Black Widow. My 15-year-old daughter is a big follower of everything Marvel. I enjoyed it.
What is something fun you plan to do this year that you’ve never done before? Missing travelling, so planning to take my family to a US trip whenever possible. Inspired by Geoff, planning on taking an RV around the US. Still haven’t planned the details. I have never driven an RV in my life, so it sounds exciting.
What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten?
I was born and raised in Manaus, which is in the middle of the Amazon Forest. We have quite a few ‘unique’ local dishes, so I’ve had snake, crocodile and turtles when living there.

Lately the family is addicted to a game called Rummikub. Warning – highly addictive – but a great family game.

Where has been your favorite place you’ve traveled? Uvita, Costa Rica! It’s where tropical rainforests meet the ocean and It’s absolutely enchanting! Small town tucked away with great people, good food, wild animals, and awesome surfing! I go with my husband and daughter a few times in the year and spend months working from there during the summer. Pura Vida!

What was the worst job you’ve ever had? I was working for this telecom company in Virginia where every night I ran a script to collect long distance phone usage data three times and emailed results. I was recognized as excellent in performance, but it was so boring that I left after a month. Automation is the way to go.

I do not; however, my daughters had some fish and a ball python that I had to care for.

What is something fun you plan to do this year that you’ve never done before? We are planning to visit Australia as a family this coming Christmas. Hopefully the COVID restrictions will be over by then.

What is your favorite way to unwind after a long day? What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten? I remember having kangaroo pizza early in the morning after a long night of bar hopping in Sydney. It didn’t play nicely with my stomach afterward.
Watching a movie or hanging with my family is the best. Otherwise, I play either guitar or online racing.

Do you have any pets? Love my 4-legged kids! 3 dogs (we have a strict rule to only adopt senior large dogs), 1 cat that adopted us, and 2 horses. I’d have more if we had more property!

Originally was going to stop in Las Vegas before going to Hawaii this year. There I wanted to do the jump off the top of the Stratosphere Hotel. Will have to try next year as trip was postponed due to COVID.
What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten? I call it ‘mystery meat’. First time in Europe after college with my cousin. We stopped in a small restaurant in Germany. We both pointed to menu items as neither spoke German. Still wonder to this day what part of what animal I consumed. :-)

Budapest, Hungary as I got to spend a significant amount of time there and get beyond the tourist sites. And riding the maglev high-speed train in Shanghai, China (we need these in the US)

What was the worst job you’ve ever had? Right when I finished architecture school I did safety and hygiene inspections on construction sites. I found it very boring and I’m also allergic to wet concrete so lets say it just wasn't for me haha

What was the last movie you saw? Titane. It won Palme d'Or in Cannes this year so I went into it without checking the plot... Turned out it had WAY TOO MUCH BLOOD for me. I felt dizzy at least two times haha
What is something fun you plan to do this year that you’ve never done before? Tattooing someone for the first time. I bought my first machine a month ago and been practising on oranges and artificial skin since then. Im looking forward to doing my first tattoo on one of my close friends soon.
What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten? A soup that had a fish eye floating around. I felt like it was disrespectful not to eat it but it was a hard one for me. I didn't eat the eye though, just the broth.

I recently rewatched “The square”. It's a Swedish movie about the adventures of an art curator. I would say it's kind of a comedy movie,it makes a bit of fun about contemporary art and the world around it.
Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter? (and why!) Winter for sure! I love a snowy winter view. I also find winter outfits much more elegant, I love wearing a long coat and boots.
Where has been your favorite place you’ve traveled? I can't pick! But one that I want to go back to this winter is Prague. Such a beautiful city! Specially while its snowy.
What is your favorite way to unwind after a long day? Playing some music on my turntable and having a glass of red wine.

Do you have any pets? Yes, the sweetest Mountain Feist named Weefee. “Weefee” came about from my daughter trying to pronounce “Wifi” when she was learning how to read.

What is something fun you plan to do this year that you’ve never done before? I tried gardening this year and was a major fail. For all the balck thumbs out there,Rosemary is the only thing that survived. Maybe I will have a Rosemary garen next year haha.
What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten? Lengua al Ajillo - My friend’s favorite dish that I tried.
What’s one totally irrational fear that you have? Any type of bird’s feet. I have no idea why.

Where has been your favorite place you’ve traveled? Maui, Hawaii is an awesome place for a family vacation with a lot of activities and quiet. The silky beach water is very calming and pleasant. I can’t wait to go back there.

What was the worst job you’ve ever had? Probably throwing ~50lb 6x4’s on and off a truck for 12-14 hrs a day, 6 days a week, while working pipeline construction. Thankfully (?), I shattered part of my hand doing it and got moved to environmental clean-up crew, which was a bit easier.
Do you have any pets? I have a pitbull named Lunatic Von Brindlebutt, an American Bulldog/Mastiff mix named Admiral Mosely J. Poopenstein, and two shorthaired, black cats - one named Walter PeePee Kittie and the other, Murderous Ms. Meep.
What’s one totally irrational fear that you have? Quicksand. It was such a pervasive threat on Saturday morning cartoons I watched as kid so I’m still sorta convinced that is how I’m going to go out.

What is something fun you plan to do this year that you’ve never done before? I’m going to try to not curse for a month. I’m not sure that is something fun but given my proclivity towards using expletives, it’s a challenge. I will probably last two hours.
When I lived in Oakland, CA, I would ask “what is a season?” as it was either raining or not raining and it was mostly not raining. Now that I live in Virginia I’m into Spring & Fall and loathe the Summer - not a fan of humidity. I had to buy shorts for the first time in 20 years!
Where has been your favorite place you’ve traveled? A toss up between Bocas Del Toro, Panama; Stockholm, Sweden; Barcelona, Catalonia (my friends there would kill me if I said it was part of Spain haha)

I went vegetarian in 1989, vegan in 1993 but recently starting eating shellfish, so I think that's weird. As a kid I once ate possum sausage.

What was the worst job you’ve ever had?
My dad owned a cement plant growing up and when I turned 18 he hired me to do the absolute dirtiest and labor intensive jobs like emptying the coal train. He did it to tell me that I need to go to college so I could have a nice office job but I was already planning that, I didn't need the hard summer!
Do you have any pets? Sadly no, we got a cat a few months ago but my son turned out to be allergic so we gave it back to the previous owner.
What was the last movie you saw? Free Guy! I was excited to see this in the theaters but since Covid hit they delayed it a year but I finally watched it from the comfort of my own home.

Technically in ‘22, but my wife is going to let me go skydiving, I’ve always wanted to try it but every time I would bring it up I would get the “so you want to die and leave your family” treatment...

What was the worst job you’ve ever had? My first summer job was night shift on an assembly-line work in a papermaking factory. It was a very demanding but it definitely thaught me the importance of hard work and paying attention to your co-workers.
Do you have any pets? I’m more into dogs and my wife into cats...so we decided to enjoy pets at our friends place!
What was the last movie you saw? We just saw Cruella with the kids, I found the soundtrack and the costumes were great.

Where has been your favorite place you’ve traveled? I’ve been fortunate to travel in a lot of different places, but I would say New-York for the energy, Italy for the culture and the food, Tokyo for its refinement, India for the madness, and all the places still to discover!
What is your favorite way to unwind after a long day? Days are long so I try to save some time for the family. On weekends the things I love to really unplug : cooking, swimming and an hour outside with a book and a cigar!

What was the worst job you’ve ever had? Working in maintenance for a condo. Mostly changing air filters, but the worst parts were all nighters shoveling (8+ hours) during snowstorms and cleaning out the inside of large industrials boilers (over 95 degrees while wearing a suit to keep the ash off).
Do you have any pets? We have a mini-dachshund, Luna. She just turned one year old, she was a COVID puppy, and my first dog!
What’s one totally irrational fear that you have? I don’t think its irrational, but my wife would say running out of money, or not having enough to retire! Also Spiders, they are creepy.

What is something fun you plan to do this year that you’ve never done before? Now that we have a high schooler our lives are all about cross country and baseball.
