LOVE CULTURAL ENTERTAINMENT All Nations Drum All Nations Drum was started in 1988 by Michael Bellanger to carry on the traditions that he learned growing up and would eventually pass them on to his son, grandson, and future generations. The focus of All Nations Drum has developed over time into bringing the community together and using the drum as a means of connectedness, guidance, and healing. Aurora Mamea, Tanu Mamea, Yvonne Marshall, Arianna Antone and Maryam Brooks will be performing traditional dance along with All Nations Drum.

Danza In Xochitl In Cuicatl Danza In Xochitl In Cuicatl is a Calpulli (circle of dancers) that upholds Danza Azteca culture, paying respect and sharing the traditions that our dear grandmothers and grandfathers have maintained and left for us to guard and continue to carry forward. Having evolved across generations of ancestors and land, our tradition emerges from pre-conquest times. Danza Azteca is an important part of our culture for it teaches us discipline, and above all, love and respect our roots. We gather every Tuesday at UC Berkeley from 6:00-9:00pm, free and open to the community. For more information contact Juan F. Esteva at jfem at berkeley.edu or Marisol Solis at marisol.7solis at gmail.com.

LOVE CULTURAL ENTERTAINMENT United Capoeira Association The UCA (United Capoeira Association) was born in the vision of Mestre Acordeon and Mestre RĂŁ to create an organization where they could work together with similar philosophical ideals and yet preserve their own identities. Some of their American students then began teaching capoeira in different locations under the umbrella of UCA, including Oakland, Hayward, and the headquarters in Berkeley. UCA strives to be a community of students which appreciates and respects the collective work developing for all capoeira tendencies and approaches in Brazil and beyond. LOVE DESIGNERS Berry Native Hoops | Rachel Sedberry Navajo, Sioux

Rachel Sedberry was born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area and her collection is Berry Native Hoops. She has a variety of colors that bring and urban twist with local sport team colors. At the 2015 Stanford Mothers Day Powwow, Rachel worked up the courage to sell her beadwork with the help of her family. With the help of her sweet, yet usually bashful nephews, Rachel was able to reach an outstanding number of sales. This was her very first time selling her work at a powwow even though she’s been going to since she was in diapers. This breakthrough gave her so much hope and helped her boost her ideas for creating a business plan to develop Berry Native Hoops. Rachel wants to contribute to her community and showcase her artwork with these earrings. Rachel’s creations can be purchased at the silent auction.

DESIGNERS Tu Tienda Azteca Tu Tienda Azteca is a shop specializing in folk art from Mexico: traditional, contemporary and everything in between. We feature artwork from artists directly from Mexico, local artists and even some made in-shop by owner Oscar Cisneros. Visit the shop at 3104 Fruitvale Avenue in Oakland, CA.

Dignidad Rebelde Dignidad Rebelde is a graphic arts collaboration between Oakland-based artists Jesus Barraza and Melanie Cervantes. We believe that art can be an empowering reflection of community struggles, dreams and visions. Following principles of Xicanisma and Zapatismo, we create work that translates people’s stories into art that can be put back into the hands of the communities who inspire it. We recognize that the history of the majority of people worldwide is a history of colonialism, genocide, and exploitation. Our art is grounded in Third World and indigenous movements that build people's power to transform the conditions of fragmentation, displacement and loss of culture that result from this history. Representing these movements through visual art means connecting struggles through our work and seeking to inspire solidarity among communities of struggle worldwide."

Ixchel Botanicals Raquel Gómez is the mind and heart behind this Apothecary based in San Francisco. Raquel was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and migrated to this country at the age of 4. She feels strongly that our many social ills, environmental problems, and internal conflicts stem from having strayed so far from our ancient ways of living, a shift away from the understanding that we are not separate from our Madre Tierra, but are a part of the whole. She has commited herself to independent studies in Herbal Medicine and all things healing, related to ancestral knowledge. It has been life-changing an adventure for her as she is still holding down a full-time job at the San Francisco Unified School District and is a full time single mother, but she feels her insight, vision, and handcrafted creations are worth it all. Her plans are to continue to provide her creations to all those looking to steer clear of the many chemical-laden products out there and hopes to continue to take courses, both long-term and short-term, to expand her knowledge and understanding of the many beneficial properties found in abundance in nature. She hopes people realize that they can find healing in Nature, that in itself should be enough to shift consciousness to one that cares about leaving this planet livable for future generations.
