I am smart and young. I wonder what I will become. I hear high school calling my name. I see my nice shiny sliver college building welcoming me in. I want to get a good and nice education. I am smart and young.

I pretend I am in the NBA. I feel like the greatest. I touch the NBA courts. I worry that high school will be hard. I am smart and young.

I understand school is very important. I say that I want school to be over. I dream that today could be faster. I always try to do my best in school. I hope that I pass the 8th grade. I am smart and young.

I am from watching WWE. From phones and toys. I am from the loud TVs in my house. I am from the welcoming smell of my house. I am from the long grass and the large tree in my backyard.

I am from cookouts and party. From lots of cousins and yelling siblings. I'm from cooking and going out and from having fun.

I'm from trying my hardest and never giving up. And “Rise

Up” by Andra Day. I’m from going outside. I’m from

Brooklyn, NY, and America. Chicken and mac’n’cheese.

Never giving up means to always get going. Even though it can be hard, you can overcome it.
