I am weird and talented

I wonder if life will change soon I hear my shows I watch every day I see my game on the tv I want to be braver

I am weird and talented

I pretend my dog can understand what I say when I rant I feel bored all the time

I worry I won’t be able to do high school I cry about everything I am weird and talented

I understand that life can be difficult

I say everything is fine a lot I dream about having a good future I try to stay positive I hope I accomplish things I am weird and talented

I am from Home

by Celina Torruella

I am from my bed From marshmallows and candy I am from the apartment I call home The home that I feel all my emotions I am from the stuffed animal toy that I had since I was a baby The roses I once received as a gift in this home

I’m from family events and hearing that same birthday song in Spanish every year From grandpa and passed aunt I’m from family drama and family make ups And from seeing people happy one minute to breaking down the next

I’m from respect and always showing kindness And “my little sunshine” I’m from cookouts at grandpa’s house I’m from New York and a mixed family Rice and chicken and quesadillas From my parents growing up and making memories to tell me all about them From the photo album And the room in the back of my home I am from my best friend and family
